Ditto this! I COB'd this spring as a sophomore and I'm SO glad I did. If a group wants you, they'll take you no matter what your class standing. Several other GC ladies are proof of this

It is wonderful and inspirational for PNMs to hear success stories of those members that rushed as sophomores, juniors, and even seniors. However, I feel that we need to keep in perspective where SMU GRRL is attending college. dzsaigirl, you might feel that what you said is "unpopular" on GC. However, you attended SMU and speak from experience on that campus.

SMU GRRL, in my opinion you should try informal recruitment. If you do not feel a connection with the chapters that participate in fall recruitment and you would like to be a member of the Greek community at SMU... then go for formal rush in Jan. However, I would STRONGLY advise you to keep an open mind. Rec or no rec... going through formal recruitment a second time and as a sophomore at SMU will possibly limit you in your choices of houses.
