Cheney's lesbian daughter allowed this?

Perhaps if more gays became Republicans and politically active they could help sway party votes...so remember, vote Republican!

Well I guess I'm not a lesbian so I can't judge my own kind like that.

Anyway, considering that one of the largest groups that are Republicans are gay, I'd say quite a few of your fellow gays might be upset at that. Last I checked 25% of gays were Republican and the number was growing faster as soon as these amendments and talk against marriage bans came out - simply because they wanted to voice their opinion and sway the Republican party away.

Log Cabin isn't endorsing Bush so my guess is Kerry will be getting over 90% of the gay vote this fall, so look to see the percentage of confused queers go down.
(You dont get anywhere by supporting candidates or parties that have clearly stated platforms to limit your freedoms and restrict you to second class status)

um, i think that, if you'll check a little deeper, the majority of 'young' republicans (under 30) are economic conservatives (also read this as "educated") and social moderates (read this as "not uneducated"). The religious right dictates platforming, but policymaking can surely be influenced by this young bloc. In fact, I'd suggest for you that as soon as the under-30 crowd, such as myself, becomes the primary donating body (3-4 elections down the road, sure, but still), you'll see a dramatic shift in Republican "theology" (or most likely, lack thereof).

I'm a registered Republican who would love to see full support for gay marriage rights. I will continue to send letters as I find time, b/c I feel like we shape the party - not the decaying bodies of evangelical assholes in mississippi.

There's no way Kerry is getting 90% of the gay vote. NO WAY.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only liberal on GC besides Heather who puts her brain on in the mornings.

Take a hard (actually even a casual) look at the graphics on the milk carton. The type doesn't line up with the borders. The carton has been shot from a somewhat oblique angle (called "keystoned" in TV), while the type and picture are from a straight on angle -- probably computer generated. The pictures are much sharper than the carton.

Ain't PhotoShop wonderful?

Delt,

I dont think its supposed to be real. Its a satire piece. I think they were more concerned with getting it out quick vs having it look authentic.
