I've actually seen the movie twice now, and while I enjoyed it both times, I'm still confused by the ending (maybe it's just me). Some of the people who saw it with me the second time theorized that it leaves it open for a sequel, but I don't see how. Does anyone else get this feeling, or understand the ending and can explain it to me?

Are you familiar with Asimov's 3 rules for robots? I cannot remember their official name, but they span a lot of his literature.

Hahaha, a little off topic, but I went into the bookstore to buy the book and the only copies of the book have Will Smith on the cover.

I know it's the smae book, but it just feels wrong buying a book that has a movie promo on it.

ETA: I think the ending was supposed to have a dramatic ending. The robot is now the saviour looking down upon his people...kind of like Charelton Heston's Jesus pose at the end of The Omega Man.
