It's a shame that the gathering couldn't be one more week later. I was born and raised in the Lou but am going to school in Michigan. I wish I could be there to meet some of the GCer's whose responses and postings I read all the time. Oh well. Have a great time. If you go to Wash Ave. try to stop by Velvet night Club. The owner is a great guy and I try to get him as much business as possible even though I am not in the Lou all the time.

Alright, we're having a Lou gathering.

We have at least 3 GCers already in the STL area.

Two are visiting 7/24-26.

I don't know how long ktsnake is staying and if he even wants to do this.

This alone is enough to have a gathering.

Greekgrrl and Alphachiohmy, where would you guys like to have it? I don't care, as long as it isn't in Laclede's Landing or Wash ave., unless daytime.

What times are you guys available?

If you will be in St. Louis in upcoming weekends, you should check out the Riversplash concerts - they begin at 7 on the riverfront by the Arch. There is also Eats Bridge on the old Eads Bridge - the concerts and events run through Aug. Thurs, Fri. and Sat. nights. Paul Oakenfeld is this Thursday, Liz Phair Friday, and Steel Pulse Saturday (reggae). More info is at www.celebrate2004.org.

Just got back from volunteering at the B-52s tonight, which is why I am so gung ho about the concerts.
