I never had a sleeping bag of my own.
If I need to bring a sleeping bag anywhere it was one of my dad's camping bag. Real sleeping bags. They were ugly colours, but damn, where they ever comfortable and warm.
In fact they are soooooooooooo good, we still have them and use them and they are almost 30 years old.

I had a lavender sleeping bag lined with lavender unicorns. It matched the lavender bows on my wallpaper. I replaced that with a Turquoise LL Bean sleeping bag though when I started going to backpacking camp. The lavender unicorns were too heavy to take along on a five day backpacking trip.

I think I had a My Little Pony one. I remember it being pastel pink on the inside as well.
But when I grew out of that, it switched between a blue and green one. (My family had four bags total, so it didn't really matter who got what.)

I still have a Minnie Mouse one with hearts, I make my friends use it when they stay over. When I go camping I take my dad's Army one or one of the ones my parents used when they backpacked in Europe.

I had a big green Snoopy sleeping bag, with Snoopy eating popcorn on it. In my later years I borrowed my dad's mummy bag (a big thick black and grey one) when I needed a sleeping bag.

I had a "Herself the Elf" sleeping bag. Probably from one of those PBS shows my lefty parents had me watch. I think my niece still uses it.

I had a She-Ra sleeping bag. My sister had one with the Wuzzles.
When we joined the Girl Scouts, though, we upgraded to serious sleeping bags, which weren't near as much fun

See now I feel like the ghetto kid. She-Ra was sooo cool! My parents convinced me the generic unicorn sleeping bag was cool.
Although I feel you on the serious sleeping bags for girl scouts.

Care Bears
I actually ended up using it as a quilt on my new bed a few years ago before I had the chance to go out and buy one that fit...
