and those foreign offices are doing business in foreign countries which accounts for over half of their earnings... they aren't jobs that have been outsourced to make a better profit here in the u.s. (i'm pretty darn sure my ketchup doesn't say "made in china" on the back, it says PITTSBURGH PA ) -- there's a difference. i mean, we're talking about food products here...

also, teresa heinz kerry isn't even a heinz by birth, she has an inheritence from her late husband in heinz trust, not in the actual business... she has no control over heinz... so if someone can tell me what the actual business association between kerry and heinz is that i should be all het up about that merits a boycott, i'd appreciate it.

sorry if this is getting redundant, i don't wanna do that... i'll be checking out now...

Theresa Heinz made somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 million in interest from municipal bonds last year. I don't know her personal finances but I can tell you that municipal bonds are generally very strongly rated bonds with low interest that the very wealthy buy into mostly for tax benefits. This doesn't take the tax benefits savings into account...to get that much in interest from such high rated bonds would mean she has some serious coin in municipal bonds alone - and I would guess that would be the minority of her investments.
