And had he sought professional help he may not have committed suicide. But he did not. So he did.

OK so let's gloss over Lord Hutton's investigation. While the BBC didn't kill him and didn't expect him to do this because they didn't know his condition, the fact that they ran an untruthful story and threw Dr. Kelly into the spotlight stressing him was irresponsible and morally wrong with dire unintended consequences.
And someone kills someone else because he has mental issues and a gun - clearly. Great.
