We have presents at my school but it's a bit different. At my school it is basically a party. All greeks attend and we take up the new members and they get escorted across the stage and we introduce them... it's quite fun, but not as formal as some of what Y'all are describing. It's great when ALL greeks do it together.

The sororities do the ad thing at IU too. I always liked to see who went where, but I'm just nosy like that. Many of the sororities will also take out a second ad shortly after initiation.

It's very rare to see a fraternity place an ad like that though. I don't know what they do.

Although APO took out an ad when my pledge class got initiated. It was cool to see my name in one of the ads for once.

We make a big ol' poster and put it up in the Student Union. The boys are always super sweet and send their congrats to us.

Each member can invite individual fraternity men, then we go in to fraternity chapter meetings with invitations. It's really fun, and gives the new members the spotlight. And since it's a crush party, the girl to guy ratio is definitely in our favor
Ours is called KD Kisses, Tri Delt's is Pearl Preview, ADPi's is Pi Passion...we all have cute names for it, but the guys don't care, as long as they're invited to all of them!

That sounds like SO much fun!!! I wish my chapter had done that while I was active... Maybe I should tell them about it.

We had a new member presentation right after initiation... But it was mainly for parents and boyfriends and the chapter...

The APO chapter at USF hasn't had a pledge class yet so we are starting on Epsilon in the fall. Great ideas.... we have advertised in the paper but never announced the new pledge class.
