We had the "B.U. Bum," a homeless guy who used to sit outside buildings collecting change as he watched his handheld TV or listened to the radio.

Other than the Boston townies, there wasn't really anyone else outstanding I can think of.

This guy usually sticks around more Kenmore Square area. He hung out around the Barnes and Noble @ Boston U. and the Campus Convenience.

I've seen the guy you're talking about though. I'm down in that area when I'm on my way to the Avenue or Tonic.

We have creepy cape guy! He actually attends UNC and at any given time, day or night, between classes and whatnot, he'll put on a cape and mask and run around campus....I heard about him while he was at CU in Boulder, but now he's here! It's even worse to have class with him, very scary!

We had "Earth" - also known as the Esker Monster.

This was one of the largest people I've ever seen.... he had to weigh (and I'm not exaggerating) over 500 pounds. He could only attend classes in certain halls on campus because he could not fit in the chairs. It was kind of sad, really..... if you didn't know him.

If you did know him, you'd realize that he was the creepiest, grossest, just plain old nastiest motherf***er for 50 miles. He worked in the campus computer lab my freshman year (he graduated the year after I got there), and he would routinely harrass the students, staff, everyone. He eventually got fired for looking at porn in the computer lab.

THE FOX

UK has THE FOX..... a older man who has seen way too much alcohol in his life!
A group of us were sitting at Pazzo's one night and this guy comes up to us and says "Y'all ever heard of JAMES DEAN?" He really emphasized on the James Dean part. And we were yea, we've heard of him. And he's like "Country singer and act-tor". OK, I'm not really sure about country singer...but okay we said yes. Then he starts singing to us. And he always refers to himself in third person "they call me the fox", "i'm the fox", "you wanna dance with the fox". And he does this werid lip, lick thing - kinda vulgar.

He's an interesting man. We see him everywhere.....and when he isn't out in public a lot....we look up at the county jail and he's there registered as "the fox".

Sounds redundant.

My university is located about two blocks from a Rescue Mission and there's a halfway house just off-campus so there's those loonies, but far and away the best one is FREEWAY. He sits on the interchange and counts cars all day, and he also comes to all our basketball games and dances.

We have this strange guy that hangs out in our library. Hes a cross between Santa Claus and a member of the Clampett family. He stops and listens when Im giving campus tours. When he does stop he freaks out the families.

Oh yeah. Including Mork and Mindy.

(Daughter used to work at "Colors" a hair place right at the end of the mall -- just around the corner)
