I think the movie is a clever idea, but...

I have a huge problem with people blaming the fast food industry for obesity. It is possible to eat fast food responsibly, just as it is possible to drink responsibly, etc.

Even with working out, I'm not sure what the effects on cholesterol, blood pressure and the heart would be with a heavy diet of McD's (or any place like it). I can't imagine that you'd be able to stay in good sorts healthwise for long (even if you were able to keep your weight stable).

It's funny, I was browsing amazon for reviews of Fast Food Nation and Fat Land and ran across a review from one Morgan Spurlock saying it helped him put together research for a film he was doing.

Anyway, the thing I found most interesting about this is the way a lack of nutrition adversely affected his health in so many areas from mood to energy to sex drive. I don't think everyone realizes how many ways the things you eat impact your life. Other than that it's an old story, eat badly and gain weight.
