I have some red fleece boots for Barney for the winter. They only cost something like $6, they aren't frou-frou looking, and they really help...he doesn't burn his feet on sidewalk/street salt.

We have booties for our dogs when they are in the snow. It is more humerous than anything. They don't understand them and we just laugh.
