Great thead!
My favorite author of all time is Roald Dahl. Remember, the guy who wrote kids books like Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, etc? Not only are his children's books fantastic, but he wrote FABULOUS short stories for adults that are very eccentric, and I just love them. Anyone else a fan???
Other than that, though, I read random books. BUT...I am a huge poetry reader. Doesn't count as "authors", but here's my favorite poets anyways:
Anne Sexton
Sylvia Plath
Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Pablo Neruda
Walt Whitman
e.e. cummings
T.S. Eliot
W.B. Yeats

Roald Dahl Rocks my balls off!
Roald Dahl is awesome! I remember his books from elementary school, and they are awesome!
Speaking of Children's books, C.S. Lewis is another amazing author with his Chronicles of Narnia. And now that I'm grown, I've really gotten to love his books for Adults, including his Christian theology books.
Mere Christianity is AMAZING. I suggest it to everyone, Christian or non-Christian (what have you got to lose?). It gives a clear, concise case for the Christian faith, and it comes from a the mind of a man who for years tried to disprove Christianity, and then later converted and became one of the most influential Christian authors/theologians of all time. C.S. Lewis was a genius! Everyone should try and read his stuff!

I read pretty much anything and everything but one author I particularily like is Neil Gaiman. He did the Sandman graphic novel series as well as a number of books including American Gods, Neverwhere and Good Omens (with Terry Pritchard). He has a great tone.

I can't believe you found a way to insert Donnie Iris in this thread, honey.
I hereby sentence you to eat 10 Primanti's sandwiches and drink a case of IC Light as punishment.
