With our chapter consisting of a LOT of former cheerleaders we have adapted old chants using AXiD words...
I don't know which all everyone has
But some of ours if anyone is interested...

Fuzzie 96 - I would love to have some of your chants. We are a colony so we do not have anything other than what is in the Bonds book.
We are starting to plan our formal rush and any songs/chants would be great! Thanks!

Our chapter's songs and chants are also very out dated im afraid. So if anyone has any more idea other than what is posted up here, let me know! It would be so fun to learn new stuff and teach it to the chapter.

p.s.- i love the oscar mayer weiner song one!

We really like the Joy to the World tune thinking it was catchy, but are looking to do more with the song than what's posted. Any ideas?

We sing a song at the Theta Xi Chapter at FIU...our theme is "batter up"

I would really appreciate those song you were talking about, It's Gonna Be Xi, Sorority Girl, ect. Here at the Gamma Epsilon Chapter we do something called Xi Rock for our Theme Day. Those songs would be perfect for what we are looking for. Thanks! TFJ!

We had some fun chants, one was to beastie boys "gotta get it together" and one called we're all good sisters.
the all good sisters one goes like this: (it increases in tempo, and my friends in other sororities say its the cheer that never ends)

how funny, i have heard this chant before, but the version i have heard is a little different at the end i think. my question is, do you sing it or is it spoken? they way i have heard it is sung. i get so far with the singing on yours, but it all falls apart when i get to the part where you spell out a-l-p-h-a. oh well, anyway, just wondering because i really like it, but my chaper does not do it and i do not know how to end the version i know.
We do not have very many chants, as we realized this year at greek week

the one we do the most often is really simple:

a-l-p-h-a, x-i-d-e-l-t-a
alpha xi, alpha xi
delta

yeah i know really not very original, but when you repeat it and get faster and louder each time it is very effective.

just for clarification, say the a-l slower than the p-h-a, take a pause, and then spell the rest about the same speed as the p-h-a

another is,
a,
l-p,
h-a-x-i-d,
e-l-t-a,
oh yes,
cause we are the best!

-repeated over and over again with increasing volumne.

We say the chant. in the begining we start speaking it at a normal volume and speed and then it gets faster and louder towards the end.

Okay, here are a couple that I think haven't been mentioned (though it's hard to say when we can't always say "To the Tune of ..."). I think they're in some of the song books.

- My very favorite door song/chant is an army Cadence, which is shouted out by one or two sisters, and repeated by the chapter as follows (all VERY loudly):

SoProud2BeAnAlphaXi, I LOVE that military cadence. I will be teaching my chapter that for our Greek Olympics! I love it!
