I wish I still had the CD of The COMPLETE Birth of the Cool. I just ripped it onto my PC and I dunno what happened to the CD.

Listening to Medeski, Martin & Wood. Probably the best live act out there. Pure musicianship. Putting on Jimmy Smith next. It's a shame that he passed away.

Jimmy Smith was a stunning performer, father of the modern jazz organ. RIP.

Medeski, Martin, & Wood, Monk, Coltrane, Mingus, Charlie Parker... and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

I'm into jam bands, which just kind of led into a jazz obsession a few years ago.
