btw, most americans dont have the luxury of hearing the kind of music that is being played in London clubs, the Hague, Gate Crasher parties, Laugherton Hall, Cream field parties etc etc etc. Usually its only those of us who live in Florida, California and New York City who constantly get quality music. I'm jealous of you.

U ever listen to Radio One? I like Pete Tong as a commentator on the radio...but his music isnt all that appealing to me. John Digweed and Sasha are my favorite DJs/Producers. You know, bedrock records is based in the UK...in greater London.

Correct... you could hear the audience in the background and most of the stuff my friend downloaded were live sets.
He also had Fergie... I've never listened to it. Guy or Girl?

Live sets are usually the best. The only DJ who I think his CDs could rival most DJs live sets would be that of John Digweeds and Sasha's ( they're usually always playing together at clubs and on CDs unless its a global underground CD).
Fergie, I think, is a guy.

I wish I were in London now to hear Radio One live. *sigh* I have Paul Oakenfold sets from like '99 from Radio One broadcasts. They are old Gatecrashers. But they are awesome. Too bad I can only name off a few of the songs from it. I would really like to know what some of the playlists were. But i don't think they list those from that far back.

I know them all. I'll have to send you an email or the link to where I got them later on. Those were some classic sets, many of which I have the records played in those sets. My record bin is HUGE.

The one that I am looking for starts off with "Not Over Yet" and has another song on there where it's a guy saying "in deep space... abandoned..." I think it's by sasha (only because I heard it in one of HIS sets too...)

LOL...one common misconception that people have about DJ sets is that many people think because they hear a song in a DJs sets...they think its his song. In fact, more often than not, its usually some no named guy who made it while all fucked up and then somehow the Headliners got a copy of the press and played it out to make it popular.
that "in deep space" song you're talking about.....here's the info on it that track.
Title: Space Manoeuvres
Artist: Stage One
Record Label: Hooj Choons ( they have recently shut down)
The mix you're talking about that was played in that set that Sasha played....I believe it was Tilt's remix of Stage One's original mix. Anyhow, Sasha, Oaky, Seb Fontaine and Judge Jules all played it out. The track itself came out in 1999 and was pressed at Hooj Choons studios in London, England. If I'm not mistaken, the set you're talking about was a Homelands set in 1999 or the Cream Fields set, am I right? I was 19 years old and went on my summer trip with 6 friends that year to the Homelands festival. I was actually there and it was the time of my life. I didnt get a chance to make it to Creamfields in 99, but I did in 2000. Yet, I didnt go to Homelands in 2000. Anyhow, that Homelands set will always be a favorite deep down.
You should also try to download Sasha and Digweed's set they played for their "Delta Heavy" tour as well as their set "Live at Hard Rock Orlando"......I was there for both of those. The Delta Heavy set that is on the internet was played in Miami last year and the set in Orlando was played there 3 years ago. Both are off the chain.
Craig
P.S. BTW, just to let you guys know.....Sasha now Lives here in Florida just south of Tampa in Sarasota. For those of you who live in the Tampa area, any of you guys notice him playing in Ybor city a lot lately?

Yeah... the Paul Oakenfold set was a Homelands mix. But the Gatecrasher mix for him also has some of the same songs.

Ever been to a GateCrasher party? They have them here in the U.S. and not just the UK.

Moved thread to Entertainment Forum. Seemed to make the most sense there.
