Beta Theta Pi's 165th Annual Convention is being held August 5-8 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta GA.
This years theme is "The tie that binds"
“. . . Older men can lead, direct, encourage, correct and inspire younger men. Likewise, young men can give older men strength, courage, faith and add future to their minds. This is what happens when the hand of age grips the hand of youth.” — Excerpt from The Beta Theta Pi, Winter 1985, Dr. Seth R. Brooks, St. Lawrence ’22
Not sure if I'm going yet...I know we're thinking about getting my pledge class (the Juniors) to go as a group, just b/c it would be a blast to go to Hotlanta.

This will be my 2nd officially (but really my 3rd, I went to one night of the convention in Palm Springs a few years ago).

And a big Texas HOWDY and WELCOME to Chi Omega and Delta Phi Epsilon. San Antonio is a fun city and you'll love the Marriott Rivercenter. Just remember to pack a cute sweater. We Texans looooooooove our air conditioning and I think they set it so men in wool suits are comfortable. Ladies with skinny strapped dressed very quickly turn into ice cubes! In other words, pack a sweater or two,,
Having been to eleven Pi Phi conventions (ours is in odd years so not this year), I can vouch that they are absolutely worth the time and money!

Ditto what my sister said. I'm sure all of GC is sick of hearing all about this Centennial Convention speak.
I noticed that many other sororities are having this conventions this year--and everytime I view today's active threads I see at least 6 different discussions about conventions going on.
Our last biennial convention was in 2001, but to coincide with our 100th Anniversary it was pushed back to this year.
We have a free afternoon and evening on that Monday and us GC gals want to get together for a night on the town. Chicago (and those within driving range) GCers are also invited!
