My boyfriend is a "quiet guy", except when he's talking to me When more than 2 people are in a room he's clams up and doesn't say a peep. Many of my friends and his fraternity bro's don't believe me when I tell him how talkative he really is.

Just to be clear. I'm not into guys. And yes I'm sure.

I just wanted to comment as a "quiet guy". Females often mistake me for quiet because I am not a fan of small talk. Not that "big' talk is so important but the small irrelevant stuff boars me.

You ever thought maybe sometimes you are talking too much?

I've sat back on several dates and let a female just talk and talk.

At first it's bearable. But after eleven straight minutes you wanna hand a chic a nice big cup of Shut Up. Being talkative is a good thing if you are a speaker and getting paid.

If you are on a date there should be a conversation. Not an interrogation nor a wholesale purging of personal trangressions and secrets or a recount of the weeks events. There is so much more to share about who you are and what you like.

Someone once told me you should listen twice as much as you speak. That's why you have two ears and one mouth.

If you wanna get a guy talking ask him about some things he finds value in. Most guys, generally aren't gonna be all chatty chatty, unless they are trying to sell something in order to get something. Most times the Na Na. We'll talk for that.

A good conversation is an ebb and flow. Not a one way stream of speech.

On the other hand, if it was a blind date. Maybe he didn't think you were too cute. I've been set up with some 'gremlins' and I didn't really wanna share a whole lot with any of them. It was hard enough gettin the meal down while avoiding eye contact.

I actually do know when to shut up, believe it or not. Sometimes I ramble and I get that "feeling" that I should just stop. Like right now...

I guess you could say Im a quiet guy. Quiet guys just dont like to say anything unless spoken to. I think its because we're very observational, I notice everything... Something good about quiet guys is that they won't say anything stupid and regret it!

...Im quiet until I get some liquor in me....

See and we didn't even need "the look"

Now can you do that while the game is on?

As long as the game includes fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and some okra... I'm hungry!

So I'd have to cook for quietude?

That might not be a bad deal.

Oh, you don't have to cook to get me to shut up... not a bad idea now that you mention it, though...
