The reason i'm a Sigma Nu is because of one of my best HS buddies. He was a year below me, but he played JV and Varsity football with me and my buddies.
He went to UT and pledged Sigma Nu to help revive their chapter. When i decided to rush for my last couple of years at A&M he asked me to check out Sigma Nu as a favor to him. I walked in the door the first day of rush and knew it's where i belonged.

I found out a friend of mine's older brother was also a Phi Sig when my chapter went on walkout to U. of Illinois. I was looking at their composites, when lo and behold there he was! He was sure surprised to see me when he showed up at the house later.

I was at a picnic in my parents' neighborhood after I graduated, and talking to a girl I didn't know who was heading off to Penn State. Gave her my standard, "look into sororities, but no matter what you do, join SOMETHING or you'll get lost up there" speech. Didn't mention ASA specifically, because greek letters wouldn't mean a thing to a high school girl in suburban Philadelphia. Plus there were 16+ groups, and what were the chance this girl would fit in at ASA or that ASA would even be the same group as when I was there?
A year or two later, I got a pledge envelope from my sorority soliciting funds for the PSU Dance Marathon, and on it was a handwritten note: "Hi! I took your advice and checked into sororities, and ended up joining ASA. Was surprised to see your picture in the scrapbook - didn't know you were an ASA, too."
Felt all warm and fuzzy, and of course sent her a big (for me) check for Dance Marathon.

Two girls from my high school joined Alpha Chi Omega. One of them is at Lynchburg College, and we were good friends in HS. Another girl (a year behind us) went Alpha Chi at Virginia Tech. We never really spoke in high school, but I see her car around every once in awhile with her AXO sticker on it and think of the bond we now share

A girl I played soccer with for 5 years joined Alpha Phi at Northern Illinois, another of her friends that I was in several classes with transferred to University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Beta Alpha chapter) and joined there, and a girl in my show choir and on the soccer team for a year also went to UIUC and joined Alpha Phi.
I ran into the girl from the show choir while Christmas shopping and I mentioned I had joined Alpha Phi and she flipped out because she had joined too! It was pretty funny.
I know several girls who joined SK, DG, DZ, AXO, SAI, APO, and an ex joined Phi Kappa Sigma.

One girl from my high school class joined the Alpha Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Omega at University of Illinois. I am sure there are others but none I can think of at the moment.

Well, since I've graduated high school two years ago, I've only stayed in touch with one person (I learned who were my real friends and who weren't when I graduated and well, only one turned out to be) but I've seen some people I went to HS with at bars or just around the neighborhood when they are home. I know for a fact that one girl I went to highschool with is a tri-sig at Centeral Michigan University. A friend of mine who I didn't go to high school with she went greek and she's a AOPi at Grand Valley State University.
I did run into two girls who went to my high school that graduated a year after me during recruitment in the fall and one in winter. The one I ran into in the fall (I practically jumped on her bc we were on the school paper together in hs and it was the first time seeing her in so long) helped form our local on campus, Phi Alpha Epslion. The other girl went through Informal Recruitment this pass January. Unfortantly due to her grades last semester she wasn't able to get a bid. She did say she is going to go through Formal in the fall...we'll see if she finds a home.

I don't move into the house until late this summer right before i start school in the fall... But after rushing the house that I signed, I found out that two of my friends from highschool were freshmen at Mizzou and had join alpha kappa lambda.. This definately had an impact on my decision to join, since there are so many houses on campus...
This isn't too surprising though, we went to highschool (3000 students in 3 grades) in the same town as university of missouri and it isnt rare for me to be hanging out at the house and run into girls from high school...
A lot of the kids from both highschools go to Mizzou and a good # of them join GLOs... Kinda nice, kinda not.. Good to see familiar faces, but I kind of like the aspect of meeting all new people...

One of my best friends who went to USC was also a Tridelt (we also preffed the same houses)! Also, my H.S. cheerleading squad big sis was the president of Tridelt at USC when my friend joined.
I have quite a few friends who went Greek at various school but those are the only Tridelts I know.

a few of my friends from high school joined a.phi. we were really excited when we found out we followed the same path at different schools.
one was a friend since 3rd grade. and another is one of my closest friends. another was a classmate of mine that i just casually knew, but we were reunited at MGCA a few years back

NEW ORLEANS IS THE BEST!!!! I love it here!!!!
Anyway ... I don't think anyone I graduated with is an Alpha Xi Delta. Thats weird. I have younger girls from my school that are in my chapter though.

One of my friends from SGA in highschool is a Chi O at University of Florida and so was her mom. Her mom sent me an owl when I pledged with a note saying that Ginny was a Chi O too. Pretty surprising. Tri-Delt is the big one at my highschool, lawdy, everyone and their sister is a TriDelt at UF or Stetson. From what I know (I went to a huge highschool) we have a few ZTAs, some Alpha Chis, an AGD, some SAIs, an AOTT, an ADPi and an AST.

In 2002 I went to MGCA in Chicago, IL with Panhellenic. One the last day that we were there, I ran into a girl that had gone to high school with me and she was an Alpha Phi at Case Western.
Last year, I went down to Columbus for a DG recruitment seminar and stopped by the Epsilon chapter house at Ohio State. I was looking at their most recent composite and saw a girl that I was friends with in Kindergarten. Turns out that her mom was a DG at my chapter in Akron and that she was a legacy.
When I joined DG, I knew two girls in my chapter from HS (or HS activities). One was two years older than me and we were both in band. The other was a year older and we had met during All-Star Band (she went to a different school).
I only know of a few people in HS that went greek but I'm sure that there were many along the way.
LXA at Akron and Baldwin Wallace
PKT at Akron, Ohio State, Baldwin Wallace
EN at Akron, Mount Union, soon to be Indiana (that is if he joins)
KKG at Akron, Ohio State
ZTA at Miami of Ohio
AZD at Toledo. Mount Union
APhi at Case Western, Kent, Baldwin Wallace
SAE at Akron
Phi Mu at Case Western
ATO at Miami
FIJI at Cincinatti
TKE at Ohio State
I'm sure I'm leaving people out but its 10 til 3 in the morning....gimme a break
