Yes, but I wish they would show it properly. :\

Sorry, but just as some get upset about poorly done rituals (am one of those), being a 30+ year scouting veteran (youth + adult) and arrowman, I get a little upset when people don't do the handsign correctly.

How is one traditional when a number of NPHC orgs were founded before many other GLOs??
[QUOTE]
Well, the "traditional" greek system is generally viewed as the members of the North-American Interfraternity Council and the National Panhellenic Council. (The "white" fraternities and sororities). Of the members of the NPC, none were founded after 1917. The average date of founding appears to be about 1890. See http://web.library.uiuc.edu/ahx/npc/ for more info. The years on the Fraternities stretch back farther. In both cases, most of the groups which started in the 20th century which have joined the two councils are the ones started by Jewish Students who could not be admitted to other greeks.

I guess I just don't like it and I'll have to deal with it. By the way,

National Panhellenic Conference (26 Women's Fraternities/Sororities)

Over half of them were founded after 1908 (that's after TWO of the NPHC orgs were founded)

Zeta Tau Alpha - 1909
Alpha Gamma Delta - 1909
Alpha Delta Pi - 1909
Delta Zeta - 1910
Phi Mu - 1911
Kappa Delta - 1912
Sigma Sigma Sigma - 1951
Alpha Sigma Tau - 1951
Alpha Sigma Alpha - 1951
Alpha Epsilon Phi - 1951
Theta Phi Alpha - 1951
Phi Sigma Sigma - 1951
Delta Phi Epsilon - 1951
Sigma Delta Tau - 1951

Fraternity info is harder to come by and more complicated!

Jeni, I am pretty sure those are the dates that those respective orgs joined the NPC, not their founding dates.

I could be wrong though.

The briefly touch on Alpha Phi Omega in that book, (Sadly, but expected). But it does tell you where a lot of 'our" traditions stem from.

Its just a persona that the nines kind of take on....nothing serious. Its like the cliques that you rolled with in highschool, but amongst the different lines within Alpha Phi Omega.

I wouldn't even say it's a persona....just an affinity for your pledge number and all those who have it.

(For me, at least!)

Mighty mouse

You can join too, all you have to be is a nine who is tight. Seven may be tight but nines are air tight, how could a number be so tight that all of its multiples added together equals nine:
