On the front of the shirt, you could simply put "Bid Day 2004" then list the sororities. To get past the problem of who to put first in the list, I would put the sorority that has the oldest local founding date, then the second and then the third.
On my campus we just go in alphabetical order. No one gets angry who was first and who's last. Solves a lot of problems.

This is off topic, but I was thinking today...if we're using the Greek alphabet, why do we put things in English alphabetical order?

If the letters are spelled out in English, English alphabetical order is often used, because that's how computer data bases do it. I don't know if there are any real rules, though. TinyDancer might know. She's got a Phd in library science, so she should know how to organize information. I just know how to disorganize it.

You are correct, sir! Now back in the olden days of the card catalog, we hand-filed letter by letter. With the data bases of today, it sometimes is whatever, but generally that is still the rule. Even if you alphabetized by Greek letters, it would still come out in the same order: Delta Phi Epsilon, Phi Mu, Phi Sigma Sigma. Right?

Hope this helps - your design looks good!

Lizz

Here is an idea that I came up with after reading your posts. uhmm I couldnt find a good pic of a precious moment, so bear with me. This should explain what Im going for though.

On the front, I wanted the girls to look like they were holding on the bottoms of the each sorority's set of letters.

On the back, all these girls are supposed to be having their back towards the "Camera" but i couldnt find any back shots of precious moments. The girls are supposed to be on the shoulders of their "sisters." and the backwards letters gives it the appearance that you're looking right through shirt. I was going to add a fence to the front, that would hide the girls on the back, but I didnt know if it would look right.

If any of this makes sense, let me know what you think. :-D Or if you need me to clarifiy something.
