update!
Great news! I talked to the Alumnae Development Director of Chairs last night, and she was in support of the idea, so I went ahead and emailed our VP of Alumnae Membership and the EO Member Services Manager. Both were very supportive, and this idea is going to Grand Council for discussion and approvals, as the group can serve two purposes: A virtual alumnae association for women who may not have a geographic group in their area, and a way to formally create a group to rescue our badges that have been lost. We may see the formation of two groups, or just one, but y'all have started something great here! Yay! Violets to our Greek Chat group!!!!

Oh this is all so exciting!! Its nice to see how far things have come and to be part of it all. Bri if you still need a person for your core 5 count me in but I'm on spring break on a very slow and ghetto computer so everything takes 4x as long, I'll try to email you my info but if you already have it feel free to go ahead and use it.
I can help with website stuff being the comp sci nerd that I am lol. I just cant promise how soon I'll have it up and running between classes and work. I think the virtual AA will also be useful to sisters who are in more secluded areas where there isnt an adpi chapter or AA.

Sorry to crash but this grabbed my interest.
We did not actually start as any kind of formal "online" alumnae chapter and there's never been any talk of becoming one on our part. We are simply a very informal (yes, I wrote loose first...haha) group of women and we only request money when we are trying to create a pool to get a specific badge.
I've shared most of teh results of our work with other groups so if any of you would like to see it, send me an email.

The actually yahoo group, there are 8 (including myself).

I'm new to GC but this is an awesome idea. I haven't gotten involved in my local alumnae chapter, but a virtual AA especially with this purpose seems great to me.
I have a few website skills too, if anyone needs assistance.
