Hey Otter...what about Rubios? Are they still around? I had a great carne asada burrito from there -- so good that I bought a T-shirt! Also, I love that you could get Rubios at the Padres games.

Rubio's definitely is not my favorite, but it's still everywhere (along with La Salsa, Baja Fresh, etc.). I love the hole in the wall mexican food! I don't think they have Rubio's at the new stadium (Petco Park). I was there last night for the unofficial opening day and they have a lot of food there so I may have missed it-I went for the hotdog and beer instead!

Breaded and fried pork tenderlions that are as big as a dinner plate served on a rediculously small bun. Especially tasty when devoured while walking around a state fair or at a small-town diner. Must be eaten with ketchup, mustard and pickles.

The only problem with Baja Fresh is the nutrition facts! It's worse to eat most of the menu items then it is to eat at McDonalds!! Weird b/c you wouldn't think it would be so bad for you but I guess there's a lot of oil in their food or something!

Okay, KillarneyRose, 33Girl, kddani & other residents of the 'burgh (mentally or physically): I have to write an article on Things to Do & See While in Pittsburgh for a soccer convention being held here this summer. I'm already disgusted with the logo (a soccerball wearing a hardhat ) but I'm trying to take the high road.
I've already thought of Kennywood, the various colleges/universities, the Carnegie, Mt. Washington, Duqusne Incline, Primanti's, Georgetowne Inn, the O - anything else I should include?

any type of Salmon - coho, pink, rainbow, chum, etc.... and it's smoked in cedar houses... that's the best...
This stuff is my favourite - salmon jerky - it is so delicious
