This has been the case in my chapter a few times. We've had girls whose aunts were members of our chapter, sometimes as early as 15 years ago, so of course, we gave them special consideration, and considered them a legacy. Some groups may have rules like, if your chapter is under campus total you have to consider all connections to your group a legacy. I don't remember where I heard that, but anyway......it also never hurts to mention male family members' affiliation. If XYZ fraternity and ABC sorority are big buds on campus and you want in ABC, it never ever hurts that your daddy or brother was an XYZ. Anywho, my $.02 for the day.
