lol. I own the book but I haven't got around to reading it yet. I've heard it one of those "you'll love it, or hate it" novels.
I would recommend: Stephanie Nolen's
Promised the Moon: The Untold Story of the First Women in the Space Race . It uncovers the role women played (and almost played) in the space race.
I think this quote from the novel is very telling:

There are other novels that have come out since this one, but this is the first novel on the topic, and from the people who have read the others, it is the best.
