HeartbrAKA

Girl it's a shame that this other "sista" in the workplace is living up to a stereotype that we see in entertainment/media/etc. The only advantage that I see in this situation is that her lack of good decorum will automatically make you look better to your supervisor(s) when compared to her because they'll notice that you're doing your work and hers.

Just keep doing what you're doing, and stay away from Bonquisha Beyonce MaiTai Jenkins-your hard work and good work ethic will pay off!

The only "sista" at the workplace
*Classy_Diva5*

p.s. You may want to invest in some padlocks for your stuff-or better yet an electrical shocking fence around your space because it seems as if Bonquisha's spawn-of-satan-son holds no mercy for other people's belongings

Wink

Have anyone else ever noticed that the ones that act "ghetto" don't even know they are or what it is, when they are doing it! For example HeartbrAKA, your co-worker may think her behavior is acceptable and she is perfectly normal. But, those with class and ethics (of a higher standard) see this and behavior like it in a different light. I would say "I am GOING TO get ghetto up in here!" because I am not and farrrrr from it. But a ghetto person would not, cause they already are and would act accordingly.
It goes back to self-respect, which is developed from within. You or anybody else can talk to the "GHETTO-QUEEN" till you are blue in the face to no avail. Until that person wants or realize that their behavior, actions are foul, they are probably not going to change.

Just my .08 cents!

ttt...

Eclipse, I would call that more IGNORANT than Ghetto.

This is Eclipse's post that should have been added here:I have a coworker who is really sweet, is a hard worker, conservative dresser and all of that, but there is just one little thing...

I can get with the lack of subject/verb agreement from time to time. Heck, a lot of educated folks slip up because they try to "code switch" too much, but the thing that has me positively cringing is she says PACIFIC instead of specific..i.e. "I PACIFICALLY told her that she need to complete this form, not the other one." or "I was very PACIFIC when we spoke on the phone." She will even put emphasis on the P. My question to you, would you tell her? If so, how would you do it? I've tried the round about way by stressing the S when saying specific in the same conversation, but she's not getting it! Heck, she and her family just returned from a vacation to California and I even made a point to say "did you guys go the PACIFIC OCEAN?" to try to get my point across, but it did not work!

Y'all help me!! I am serious! I have seen our VP look at her like she is boo boo the fool in a meeting when she busts out what "pacifically.
