I'm going to be the "Coochi Snorcher" in my school's V-Day production, and the girl was not 13, she was 16. Also, she ended up falling in love with the woman who she had sex with. The girl in the story got raped by a man when she was ten, but not by the woman.

I have a copy from 2000...nowhere do I see references to a "13-year old."

Have you read it? Probably not.
