I heard that the solution to these outrageous gas prices is not the "GAS OUT" but not buying gas from the top distributors - EXON, BP, etc. - but buying from smaller companies. In order to correct their falling profits, the top dogs will lower prices and the rest will follow suit.
I've been telling all my friends with cars to try it. It's worth a shot. This way you don't have to remember a certain day, just avoid the same places at all times.

Jazbri,
I got an email w/ a pic saying this:
Regular: $1.89
Premium: ARM
Super: LEG
LOL!! I died laughing! It was too funny, yet oh so true
Gas in my neck of the woods (Ann Arbor, MI) is: $1.89 for Reg. I have no clue what the prices are for the other grades b/c I only look for the cheapest! LOL

Woo wee....I am soooooo glad that I don't live where you guys do. Unleaded here, for now, is $1.45 regular, $1.55 mid-grade, and $1.65 premium. I also started doing something that my father would do when I was younger. I take my truck and put a 55 gallon drum on the back and fill it up like that. In the long run, I do save money.

How Much Are You Paying?
I just received an e-mail that is circulating yet again about not purchasing gas on a particular day. With the escalating prices, how much are you paying in your area?
Charleston, SC - average price $1.58

My co-workers and I were talking about car pooling - walking - jogging - skipping - to work...because in the words of my Soror...gas prices have gotten ridurndiculous!!!!!

Be careful of that gas in DC. My boyfriend desperately looks for cheap gas in the area and this mornining his engine light came on implying that he had been putting low quality gas in his car

So do I. Out here in SoCal, I'm paying between $2.90 and $3.10 a gallon for 87 octane. It's more expensive in Orange County than San Diego. And I have a larger car with an 18-gallon tank, rather than my old 13-gallon car.
