I'm feeling a song, but I don't know who sings it. He's a middle aged guy with long braids. I think he used to be in a group in the 80's. Its a slow song that they play on Midnight Love sometimes. I think the name of it is "Without You". Does anyone know who sings this? If so, email me. Thanks!

Ideal08, I feel you on the Soulchild CD!!! My favorite track is #7--Love. The song, to me, is so simple, but nice! I bought the CD, and downloaded it off the 'net onto my computer. I play that CD out. (I even put it on my black planet page
Convinced, if you find out who sings that song, let me know please. I also like that song--it took a while to grow on me though...(I guess it's because I can't stand the video!)

Well, Musiq Soulchild has done it! He's taken over!!! I LOVE THIS CD!!!! Is anybody else feelin' me?? My favorite song I think is "Mary Go Round." I think it's tight how he spells out that verse at the end of the song.
So, everyone, tell me, what music are you feelin' right now??

I AM NOT looking at the total package...
Rather, I LISTEN!
Brandy's voice is REALLY weak to say the least! She sings through her nose!
Brandy cannot hold a 5 foot pole to Monica. There is NO competition!
Shoot, if you want to call Monica's voice RUN OF THE MILL, Church choir, etc. I would take that ANY OLE DAY!
So I guess Whitney's is ONLY, LET ME CLEAN THAT UP...WAS (before the problems)ONLY a run of the mill, Church choir voice?
Where is Brandy's range? In her shoe?
The same comparison goes for Britney and Christina...Britney is WEAK! CHRISTINA CAN BLOW!
I forgot, the arrangement for the music on the movie Double Platinum was not too HOT either!
IMHO

Well yall I am really feeling Jill Scott, but Erykah's new cd is on point to. Mr. Carl Thomas is also the music of choice.
AKA2D'91 I have to agree with you Brandy can't sing period. What makes her songs are the beats behind her voice. She sounds like a 12 year old whereas Monica has a grown mature voice. As for Brittany Spears, whoever gave that girl a record contract, my dog howls better than her. But Christina is my girl.
Since everyone has a concensus on Musiq, I guess I will have to pick up his cd.
Also the word is that the disappearing acts cd is nice to.

My favorites right now are:
Erykah Badu-Mama's Gun
N'Dambi-Little Lost Girl Blues
Maxwell-Embrya (still love this one)
Jill Scott-Who is Jill Scott?
I prefer Monica to Brandy.
Sorry, but I ain't feeling Ronald Kelly. He is way to ghetto fabulous for my tastes.
I will definitely buy Musiq. I really like the song they're playing on the radio about the girl next door.

Yeah, I forgot about Tamia. I like Stranger in my house, but I also like the first single. The Hall and Oates remake.
I still like Chante Moore, but I don't want her to turn into a hip hop queen. She should stick with the duets with Keith Washington and Will Downing.

I hope you don't mind me posting my thoughts about here. I can tell you music I'm not feeling now...
Ricky Bell( yes the same Ricky Bell from New Edition and Bell Biv Devoe) has just release his first solo album entitled Ricardo Campana. Is should really be called Ricardo Crapana. Even though it features several songs with former New Edition members Johnny Gill and Ronnie Devoe, it doesn't change the fact the the album still sucks. (I'm deeply disappointed to because Ricky was always my favorite member of New Edition)
Check it out. I'm curious to see what everybody else thinks about it.

Dang, I loved Ricky, too...BIG NOSE AND ALL!
I didn't know he had something out? Does he have a video, too?
Why is he using another name?
I saw Tachina Arnold (Pam from Martin) on "Oh Drama" (BET) and she said she had a song out and it was #2 on the dance charts. The thing is is that it is under ANOTHER name. She said she wanted to test the waters or something... Anyway, folks need to be women and men about it. If it is GOOD stuff we are going to buy it...if it is NOT good stuff we WILL TRASH IT!

What that says to me is that homegirl isn't very confident in her abilities.

The girl can BLOW though. I remember some years back, Gina ( I forget her real name) had a song out, but it did NOTHING...NADA...
oh, and the two of them had a duet for a movie...DON'T ASK MY NEIGHBOR, that old Emotons song! It did nada. I heard they had a video, but I NEVER saw it!
