As for potential students at Penn STate, man, this stuff is everywhere, at every institution. The only difference is that at PSU, it has been forced out of hiding. which may, or may not be a good thing.
We are currently contacting national media, and the word is being spread, but please forward the web page to others you know. to the other PEnn STaters, do you live in the "village"?

Don't let your heart be troubled...your request for prayer, intercession (and even fasting) is taking place even as this posting goes out!

Lift up your head---and don't let your PEACE/SHALOM be shaken! God sees everything that has taken place...none of it got passed HIM...and yes, HE does care and is concerned about this situation. Infact, their are MANY intercessors praying as Watchmen and Watchwomen on the wall!

Understand that GOD has exposed the evil/hate on this particular campus because of the hurt, the wounds and the cries of HIS children who have had to endure this mess while trying to get an education. God has not ignored the evil...he will and has put the key people into place to get this thing exposed and dealt with. Evidently this campus had a chance to turn from it's evil ways and do right, but NO, they failed to do right fooling themselves into thinking they could continue to do as they have in the pass...well Sistah, GOD will use whatever and whomever HE chooses to expose the corrupt mankind do to one another, and he will require a change! Remember, the WORD of GOD tells us that warning goes out before destruction and pride goes before a fall! As for the ones who allowed this to go on, they will reap what they sow! That is not just a saying, that is GOD's WORD; It a FACT!!!

You in the meantime, be at PEACE/SHALOM and do what you have to do in the natural to help this situation be put to an end. Do what the LORD has instructed you to do... (requesting prayer, crying out to HIM, encouraging others to seek GOD's face for direction) and you will see GOD's hand move!

i know we have all heard the phrase "history repeats itself" if never before, this phrase is relevant. not only is that racism that in the last 20 years has been swept under the dirty white rug, becoming more overt, but other things from america's past are resurfacing. look at the new black panther party. lynchings (i don't care what anybody says, that boy in mississippi did NOT hang himself). disinfranchisement (florida). and so many other things.

what is the answer? well i don't know and i don't think that there is a feasible answer that will benefit EVERYONE. but until changes are made, sistas and brothas, protect yourself!! we have GOT to be more conscious. you know, we don't even think "i'm a black woman/man in america" rather than "i am a person" until something like this happens. we have got to be a more collective, cohesive bunch. '63 can't happen again ya'll.

i'm not a hatemonger or a gun activist, but i believe in protecting me and mines. i'm not a full-fledged racist (we all got a little prejudices in us), but i do believe in keep your friends close, your enemies closer, and your potential enemies the f**k away!! i know not all whites have our worst at heart, but too many of them do for us to trust them all.

a revolution is a-coming. it's happened before and it could happen again. but this time, we got to be prepared for it.

Oh my Gosh... I definitely think I know who you are. You participated in one of our programs called "Do you have a color complex?" and did we have Dr Abrokwaa's class together??
That's wonderful that you are at PSU supporting. I'm stuck here in NY but I've been trying my best to get the word out to any and everyone who will listen (and even those who won't). Let me know the progress that's happening up there.
As far as the natural... I'm LOVING it... I couldn't imagine GOD making me any other way and me not appreciating it.

One of my line sisters now teaces at Penn State. She recently sent me an email about what was going on at the svhool. I have been circulating on her behalf. I have sent it to some local radio shows (and national including Tom Joyner.) This is her first hand account. It tells what is going on but also reflects the level of urgency and feat amongst the Black students on the campus.

Just so you all are aware of whats going on up here. Please keep me and these students in your prayers.

I recently moved to State College, Pennsylvania and now work at the Pennsylvania State University. Since my
arrival, I have witnessed a number of very serious racially motivated events. For me, these events date back to September 2000. Unfortunately, in the history Penn State, these events are commonplace and have
occurred on an almost regular basis, with little to no response from the University Administration for decades. Even though this University is not in Maryland, I know that there ARE many African and African-American students from Maryland, as well asother states, that are affected by this tense climate. So far, these events have received little publicity outside of the Penn State community, with piecemeal information and half-truths trickling to Philadelphia
and Harrisburg.

Currently, The Nation of Islam, representatives from the local chapter of NAACP, and members of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus are involved,
but we need more! Please help me make people aware of this issue. Share this with your family and your friends. Anyone you know that can be of some influence. It needs National attention. The University must recognize that something must be done.


Here is an account of what has occurred during my interim at the University:

November 1999: 68 PSU students receive racist email messages signed "The Patriot." and the life of the president of the Black Caucus was threatened in a similar letter.
November 7, 1999: Two dozen PSU students received a second batch of hate mail.
October 2000: Three PSU students, parents of
athletes, and one member of PSU Board of trustees received threatening letters in the mail. October 20,2000: PSU President Graham Spanier announces the university will people who report acts of hate at the university.
December 2000: Undergraduate Student Government President Matt Roan received several pieces of anti-black and anti-Jewish hate mail.
February 2001: Black students visit state law makers in Harrisburg and delivers documented occurrences of racism.
April 2,2001: Police ask member of the PSU Black Caucus to be watchful in case they receive more racist threats in the mail.
April 20,2001: A black PSU leader receives a typed death threat that not only threatened the black community at PSU, but also claimed that a young black man had been killed and his body left in a wooded area
in Centre County, and also threatened that thegraduation ceremony will be bombed. (Please see below for press release).
April 24, 2001: Students stage a sit-in protesting theuniversity's position on racial occurrences. April 25,2001: The body of a 20 year old black male is found two hours away from the university's main campus. Cause of death has not been disclosed. Affiliation of this death to the threat on April 20th had neither been confirmed or denied. However, the
University is making serious efforts to downplay its significance by calling it a "rumor".

Students are still sitting in protest, as student leaders work around the clock to come to terms with the administration and its efforts (or its lack thereof ) to resolve the issue.

The following is the April 20, press release of the incident mentioned above.


"April 20, 2001
NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE………………………………………………….
We are holding an emergency press conference to warn the entire community, specifically the Black studentsof Penn State University Park and the 19 commonwealth campuses of the imminent threats on their lives. This afternoon, a Daily Collegian reporter received two hate letters through the United States postal service system in an envelope with the reporter's work address written by hand. The first hate letter was directed to
the reporter asking him/her to send the second letter, which was a death threat, to a Black student leader. A quote from the reporter's letter is below. " (first name) nigger lover (last name), since you love niggers so much, and that's all you
have a notion to write about (white trash that you are) maybe you can do (name of other letter recipient) a favor by delivering the enclosed letter..." The second letter was a direct death threat to a Black student leader. Part of the letter reads as follow: "i have tried with little success to be patient withyou stupid little black bitch, don't you realize i could have killed you ten times by now- your monkey
boy bodyguards notwithstanding. this is a white academy in a white town- in a white country and by god its going to stay that way nigger bitch. i generally see you two or three times a week, so i can take care of you anytime i want to, but with cameras everywhere on campus, why chance it. i will pick my spot. Running your mouth can get you in trouble or get you killed here. but you niggers don't know your place and your role, ingrates. i am not alone in this academy, we are determined to rid this place of this black blight on our community. those like you have been run off or killed. you, also, will just disappear and never be found. we mean business and to show how serious we
are, have the authorities search…the young black buck must have been a no account even to niggers, because no one even missed him. he put ! ! up one hellified fight- but there is no good from it if no one knows. we want you niggers off this campus and out of this
town now. we seen you niggers multiply over the years and we don't wish to teach you, work with you or live next door to you- you gutter low lifes don't fit here,never did, you think those big niggers from Harrisburg
are going to help- parrish the thought. you had your chance nigger bitch now you're dead!"
Below the typed letter were four photocopied,
handwritten words including, "grad day = bombs- PSU."
Upon immediately receiving the letters, the reporter got in contact with, among others, Penn State university police, the Harrisburg Patriot newspaper and finally delivered the death threatening letter to the Black student leader. Another press release
regarding the hate and death threatening letters were sent by public relations professionals representing the Penn State administration. In that official press
release several quotes from President Spanier were used, despite his absence from the university. We publicly renounce President Spanier's decision to leave University Park soon after being notified of
this death threat and admitted murder of a Black male student, whose body could be found in Centre County. The students want to make it known that Spanier's presence and not his comments are needed at this urgent moment. This latest hate letter is yet another attac! ! k on the livelihood of Penn State students and we urge you to further investigate."
