I'm Going!!
I'll be at convention! I'm so PSYCHED! Can someone give me details on what I would need to do with respect to registration if I wanted to bring MisterMadly along? He could really use a vacation.

Awwwwww...
I love you too Jill! How 'bout you throw a bunch of yard sales between now and the end of May and come down carrying the British Columbia Alumnae Chapter's vote? I'm sure KB wouldn't mind if you asked her nicely.
Don't think I'm kidding either.

Seriously, why not see if you can at least swing the cost for registration fee for the conference only but stay somewhere else? It would make it a lot cheaper that way. MisterMadly says Alaska Air usually has pretty decent fares down to that neck of the woods too.

I'll be at Convention as the CA for Pepperdine and can't wait! The least expensive way to fly is to fly to LA and get a ride from someone you know. You can get great fares from Vancouver to LAX on Alaska (spoken as someone who lives in LA and loves to ski Whistler).
I can't wait for Convention and to see aphigal again.

Oh!!Try to register by today ) I think early bird ends today!!
Also book you flight asap! Theta is having thier convention in Palm Springs at a different location the same dates so flights will be crowded and expensive.
You need white for initiation and a red dress for candlelight banquet.

I'm registered! All I have to worry about now is how to get there. I haven't decided if I'm flying or driving yet. Yay!!!

Are you still doing the timeshare thing? Maybe Jill can stay with you if she stows away in someone's luggage to get down there!

Unfortunately, Cheryl's parents don't have anymore time on the timeshare for the year! But, I know she's looking for some affordable hotels in the area. She doesn't mind driving, so hopefully she'll be able to go.
Are there day rates available for people that can't go the whole time?

Thanks for the tip about the red dress.. now to find one, or better yet, now to haul my backside back to weight watchers so that I won't have a hard time finding one!

It doesn't have to be all red...can be a red top, red skirt...a pattern with red in it.
I got one dress, not 100% sure I am keeping it...it is all red...very red.

Yes, there is ala carte pricing for people who are not staying at the hotel. All of the info is on the registration forms.

Does it have to be a formal/cocktail kind of dress? The fact that it's a candlelight dinner kind of gives me a hint, but I just want to make sure.
Oh, I look devastating in red, so I don't mind having to buy a red dress!

Yes...formal or cocktail. Lots of people where cocktail. The IEB will be installed at the dinner, so they tend to wear formal (long). It is the official closing of convention and is fun!
