You should definitely be talking to a lawyer. Serious charges ought to be filed.

Poor Liz. This guy is really a jerk. I suggest that you contact the landlord and tell him/her about this situation, if you haven't done so already. Get all of your things out of that house.

You can also call his parents and rat him out. That's how my friend handled her problem housemate who stole her and her housemates' mail and credit cards from the mailbox. The parents were so embarrassed and upset that they moved the problem out immediately and tried to compensate them. Luckily, the girl had never used the credit cards. My friend and her housemates told the landlord and the parents what had been going on. They all came to the house, had something like an intervention, and moved her out.

I agree with bringing all correspondence to the landlord and police. As well as tipping off the police to the party.

James mentioned that calling the police on roommate will mess him up for life... well... my view on that is, if he's involved in drugs, a party to child endangerment, etc.... he's brought it upon himself by breaking the law. Better to put a stop to it now, and help your case, than to ignore it and possibly suffer legal ramifications yourself. He's going to get caught sooner or later, I don't see anything wrong with helping that time be NOW.

Good luck, kiddo. This makes me SO GLAD I always lived alone in college. *shudder*

Supposedly this weekend, either Friday or Saturday night. But the electricity has since been turned off, so I'm not sure what sort of party he intends to have.
