I am an undergraduate and I have seen some strange things at career fairs/interviews.

On the pantsuit/skirt suit tip...I don't like wearing skirts, as a general rule, unless I am really in the mood to look pretty, and then I prefer cool sundresses. However, for some reason I just never saw a pantsuit as professional for a woman. I'm not traditional by any stretch of the imagination, but for some reason a skirt suit just seemed a lot more presentable for a formal business situation such as an interview.

To the informational meetings and activities I wore/wear a pantsuit or slacks and a nice shirt, but to more formal activities (and even non-Greek stuff like interviews) I always wear a skirt suit.

As much as I love to wear pants and like pants suits, when it comes to interviews, I always err on the side of caution and wear a skirt suit. Once I get the job, then I would just follow the dress code of that particular company.
