They can't vote for themselves.
I've really liked this new season so far. The last few seasons have disappointed me in the first couple of episodes, so I quit watching them.

I would feel sorry for the Morgan tribe because they're getting their asses kicked, but seeing their voting strategy and how they've treated Ryan and Lill, I don't feel bad for them at all. As a tall skinny guy myself, I felt bad for Ryan. He had the spirit, the will to win and work hard, everything--but just because he can't bench 300 pounds they decided he was useless. I also didn't like the way big shot lawyer Andrew would dog him in front of the rest of the tribe.
It's interesting how so far this season, there are several castaways who have gotten almost no screen time. Rupert gets by far the most screen time, but he deserves it. He's one of the most memorable players to ever appear on the show.
So far this is a good season--cool players and great challenges. It will be interesting to see what crazy tricks and twists they have in store this time.

The radio personalities on the morning radio show I listen to were talking about Survivor said that Rupert seems like he's having fun, it's not a game. It's going to get him far in this game because he lets things roll off of him.
I couldn't believe they voted Lill off over Darrah...Lill gave 110% in challenges as well, and had more of a work ethic and got stuff done (Darrah even admitted that on camera!) Oh well, just goes to show that it must be luck of the draw as to which tribe the Survivors will be on in the beginning.
Does anyone want to speculate on the likelihood of another switcheroo of tribes like the one on the Marquesas when the blue tribe (can't remember the name at the moment) was winning all the challenges over the other tribe (this is the season that Vecepia won )

I'm sure they will do some kind of switcheroo--they have done it almost every season since Africa, and the other time they offered everyone the chance to switch (even though no one did). I read that they're planning some kind of huge twist about halfway through, so it has to be something bigger than a simple tribe switch. One crazy thought I had--what if they allow people who were voted out to get back into the game? Only thing is, they'd probably get voted back out again right away.

Anyone still watching this? I think the Drake tribe seriously screwed up last week by throwing the challenge! Is it just me, or does Jeff (host) really dislike John?

I didn't really think of it that way, but now that you mention it....it does seem like Jeff is continuously baiting Jon when Jon mentions something (like the throwing of last week's challenge).
I was sad to see Michelle go....I really liked her, and felt that she was a better person to keep around than Sandra, or even Jon....but I realize they need to keep their tribe strong, so it would likely be a woman leaving, and no one wanted to vote Sandra off because Michelle was supposed to be the decoy for the immunity challenge tonight.
Hoping that Drake will come back and wipe out Morgan next week in both challenges!

I've heard that Jeff has said in interviews that he couldn't stand Jon. It will be interesting to see how that continues to unfold. Hopefully Jon will be around for a while, because he's entertaining. Rupert is still the best though.

I love Rupert, and am so glad he survived the vote tonight! Osten needs to get over the animal and bug thing - I mean HELLO...the show IS called Survivor! Did he think he was going to be surviving a posh resort somewhere or what?

I watched it last night too. I love Rupert too, but I don't think that he's gonna win. Trish was on the right track with trying to get him out, but she was thinking of it too early. I hated the last episodes when they were so dumb, and keeping these really powerful people...then the couldn't understand why they got voted out. Anyways, I ramble.
I HATE JON! He's a freaking idiot, and I just want to pull his nappy curls out. I hate how damn cocky he is, especially when he went to go and loot. I would've smacked him! I hope he's next. You know that's who the other tribe will try to get rid of first!

It's kind of sad, because for the first time in a long time, there is a person on this show who actually deserves to win (Rupert). He has everything it takes to be a real survivor, but in the end, he's going to be booted, unless he can keep Christina & Sandra loyal to him-and the folks from the other tribe don't gang up on him as well. Sean can't be trusted, but he made the right decision last night. Jon needs to walk the plank (sorry). I.HATE.HIM.
I wish Savage had made some parting words after the immunity challenge, like "you can thank Jon for losing this one" since it was his loud mouth that got Savage all riled up & motivated to kick arse. On the other hand-Osten needs to go. Scared of a friggin' pelican? What?

I have never hated a contestant like I hate Jon. I, too wanted Savage or somebody to just let them know Jon told them he they threw the challenge. The look on his face was priceless when he saw Trish was the one voted out. I really hope he's gone next week. If the other tribe goes to council, I think Osten is a goner.

i think the next survior show after this one should be a "true survivor" where there is no backstabbing, plotting, or scheming. keep everything the same as it has always been: two teams, the challenges, immunity, ect. only difference is that they vote people off without other people's influence. and, if you get caught talking to another player about taking someone out, then you get put up for eviction. last one standing is the survivor.

Awww, but that's no fun!
Seriously though, I think it's a great idea in theory, but I'd be curious to see how they could achieve it in actuality.

You said it, sister. I would want to smack him too. I wish that Jon could meet Shi-Ahn, the She Devil from Survivor-Thailand. She would have give him a tongue lashing like he deserves!
I would pay money to see Shi-Ahn:

put annoying Jon:
in his place!!!
