Silliest ADPi rumor

Everyone always says that Kappas at Baylor do the hand position thing or if they mispronounce your name at pref it means they don't really want you. Um, hello, you're at pref, you're on one of the bid lists. Anyway, the rumor at Baylor is always that ADPi is getting shut down (always said by one certain other sorority that I won't mention). I've had countless nms of this sorority tell me, oh i would've joined adpi but so and so said yall were getting kicked off campus because yall are so small. It was also rumored during recruitment one year that we were so small becasue we were sooooooooooo selective and only the 5 or so girls we REALLY wanted got bids. Yea, we're going to go for 5 girls when quotas 50 just for fun. that makes sense. RUMORS Suck when freshmen who don't know any better believe them. Sigh, I could go on all day.

There is a huge chandeliar hanging in the middle of our living room. For years, there has been a rumor that we rent it for recuritment. LOL, if that were the case, we would owe some serious late fees.

We actually can't initiation contact. But if the PNM does, it is rude not to return it. But they are all told not to as well.

We would survey our new members right after recruitment, to ask them about their experience. Inevitably, 1/2 the alphas would write in the comments section that they could've done with less touchy-feelies, while the other 1/2 commented that the hugs and shoulder squeezes made them feel at home. LOL. I guess we can't win!

Apparently at Mount Union, ADPi's are supposed to be the "easy girls". My friend is in another sorority and she tried to say that that is why all the fraternities wanted to have socials with us and not them!


In all honesty, most of our girls are either engaged or in serious relationships and the boys want to have socials with us is because our girls are either dating a boy from the fraternity or because they are really good friends with us. Oh, and because we're so fun!
