Last year, quota was 24, I believe. As of last night (8/21), there were 141 or was it 144 pnms to sign up. Today is the deadline!!!
I can't answer the question about recs because each organization is different.
When I went through rush (yea it was still rush, lol) in the early 70's, all the parties were in the school rooms. Now all parties except pref are on the halls. I doubt I even saw the inside of the AGD hall until I accepted by bid, lol. All these many years later, the dorm is pretty much the same, lol..just better interior decorators in each sorority, lol!
I don't want to cause any trouble for anyone so whatever you post here, I won't share with anyone.

Hey AGDLynn, have you heard any final numbers of PNMs for recruitment?

Sorry, no, but I would guess it would be a few more since, not matter the event, there are those that sign up at the last minute Then, again, on the flip side, there are usually a few that signed up that decide not to show up at all, lol.

Good luck in rush and be sure to tell us all the JUICY details!!
I chatted with AGDLynn at our 3rd annual Alum Panhel dessert reception here in Peachtree City yesterday (Sunday) and I know she is getting ready to help her girls out! We had a Feng Shui presentation too - done by one of our ZTA members who's been a Feng shui consultant for nearly a decade -- so maybe Lynn is getting the AGD dorm all feng shui'ed - lol!
We have ALOT of our alum Panhel members from West GA. I think we did two recs for girls from Fayette & Coweta counties going to West GA. Bethany, where is your hometown, if that is not being too nosy....

My hometown is in Bowdon, GA about 10 minutes away from campus. Orientation is tomorrow night and I'm getting a bit nervous, but I've been going to the tanning bed religiously and got my french manicure and pedicure this afternoon.

WTF is a French pedicure? They don't do that freaky white tip thing to your toes, too, do they?

That's exactly what they are. French pedicures are very nice. I got one recently (my first!), and it just looked so good that I think I'll only get those now. Red just doesn't look as nice anymore. But they are common enough in the Northeast, and I assumed they had them everywhere. Maybe it's an east coast thing???

For all I know they do have them here. Sorry, I'm kind of a purist. I don't even wear makeup.
Please let me keep my Sorority Girl Card!

The good thing about a french pedicure is that they look classy and they match everything.

Bethany,
Good luck with your recruitment. We would all be proud to have you as a fellow sorority woman, whether you are a sorority sister or a Greek woman sister
