You have to try a gyro...just make sure it is from a respectable restaurant, and not from a microwave. I am sure you won't be disappointed...gyros are awesome!

Yeah, all 2.4 seconds of it....
Now back to Gyros - when is your favorite time to eat them? I like them after a good night out at the clubs. Hitting the Gyro joint with your friends, getting some fries and a coke - thats the best.

I have never eaten a gyro even though I grew up in a Greek neighborhood.
I agree with cash78mere.

And not to forget souvlaki, which is lamb and beef cubes served just like a gyro!
Chicken gyros? Not quite traditional.

As much as we'd all like to believe that Coca-Cola still contains Cocaine...it doesn't. That's just the caffine talking.
The company has to adhere to strict quality control rules, as well as rules put down by individual governements.
In Canada it is illegal to sell a clear or light coloured beverage with caffine in it. So Canadians, that Mountain Dew you're drinking here has no caffine in it. That's why we're not allowed allowed to sell the product Surge here.
ETA: Gyros - Yay. I like mine with some Tzatsiki sauce, onions and tomatoes.

From a Greek-American who made gyros at her church's Greek Festival just about every year since she was 15 (more than half her life):
* A gyro sandwich is pronounced YEE-row.
* The meat is a combinations of lamb & beef.
* Tzatziki is a cucumber/garlic/yogurt mixture.
* Would you like tomatoes, onions, lettuce with that?
Souvlaki is just lamb meat. Lamb is best right off the spit.
(Actually, in recent years, I've worked in the Greek Salad tent - much more easy going... load on the feta cheese please!)
Opa!

It doesn't phase me that Mopuntain Dew here has no caffine. I hate Mounain Dew anyway. it's a nasty drink. I got sick from it once and I will never drink it again. I don't like Coke's Mellow Yellow either.
