To Pixell and Smiley21:
Thank you for the tips on my dresses. Maybe that will change how I feel about them.. that is, if I find some good accessories.

Question
I am curious about something. I am now worried about my GPA. I mean it is ok.. but not excellent. I have a 2.95. When I applied for recruitment I had a 3.5. Do you think that this will affect the way the sororities at my school see me? Should I tell my Rho Gamma that my GPA has dropped since I applied so that the sororities don't think that I am trying to lie about it? Also do you think that my current GPA and my sophmore status hurt my chances of getting a bid? I mean I do have the full intent to bring my GPA back up, and I was hoping with the study programs that some sororities on my campus have, it will help me a little bit.
I always can find something else to worry about. Shesh.

don't stress!!! greek life will publish the list with current gpa's. no one will think that you lied. everyone knows that things happen. almost 10 years later, i am still thinking that the d i got in chemistry when i was a freshmen is going to somehow adversely affect my life...lol. it hasn't! as long as you meet the min requirements to rush and for each chapter, you shouldn't have to worry about it!
i am not familiar with your school, but there are plenty of people who go through rush as a sophomore...check out blazercheer's rush for some inspiration. relax, have fun, and know that there are tons of people rooting for you!!!

Wow thank you so much for that. I keep having little spats of nervousness. I think that I am just anxious to get back to school.

Crazyocutie,
Yay for a Recruitment story with a Kappa chapter. I'm excited.
One caution: I know that we do have a few UCF actives on the boards, so I'd use discretion in naming names.
Best wishes. *sends happy thoughts*

Good luck from another Sophmore PNM. It made me nervous too, but there's not much you can do about it. I've learned from GC though, that's it's probably not going to be a huge deal for you. Just be yourself and wow their socks off

Thank you. Good luck to you. I have no clue what I would do if I had never heard about GC. I think I would be even more worried then I am now. That's a scary thought.

Today has been a pretty worry free day. Just the general anxiety of going back to UCF. I really miss it up there. Such a great place. I have a question though. I have been reading through some of the threads and it seems as though some people find out who their rho gamma is before rush actually starts. Is this normal for all schools or are some girls just really lucky?

Also, do you have a Kohls by you? They sometimes have really, really cute things for REALLY cheap. If you're worried about your outfits, that might be one place to work. You can probably find some sundresses that are really discounted.
