Tri Sigma has a songbook, "Songs Sigmas Sing," that everyone gets a copy of at initiation. It contains both ritual/formal songs, as well as fun songs.
We also have a CD of music you can get from HQ!

So for those sororities that have songbooks, do you sing from them frequently (excluding rituals)? We sing songs from our red book(as we call it) from time to time, and at Convention we sang A LOT. We also sing a lot at Province Days and at some chapter meetings, and just at random times.
In SAI, you get the songbook along wth the membership manual when you are pledging.

We might not have a songbook per say, but we have a glee club in the chapter!
We had a bunch of members from the 1950s come back to the house, and with the help of some new guys, reformed the Crescentaires glee club in the chapter after 50some years...we performed at the class of the 50's reunion and was a successful event.
The (big!) picture can be seen at

Beta Sigma Phi has a tape of songs available through International. The Book of Beta Sigma Phi also lists several songs and a Beta Sigma Phi grace.
Do other GLOs have traditional prayers as well? I'm curious...

You bet we have a songbook -- it's called "Sinfonia Songs" and every brother receives one as part of his initiation package (along with badge, shingle and wallet card). The first edition was published in 1908 (we were ten years old) and the most recent edition is the centennial edition, dating from 1998. I have copies of the 1931, 1948, 1973 and the centennial editions; that is every edition except 1908 (which I have seen go on E-bay for over $500) and 1914. LPs and CDs have made of various songs in Sinfonia Songs from time to time.
As far as singing frequently, we sing at every meeting. (We sing a lot outside meetings, too.) Aside from songs that form part of the meeting format itself, most chapters usually set aside time at each meeting just for singing together. I'm telling you -- chapters (of any GLO) that don't sing together regularly don't know what they're missing. No matter how contentiously an issue may been debated during a meeting, it's hard to hold onto hard feelings or forget your brotherhood when you put your arms around each others shoulders and sing together for a while.

I agree 110%! We, too, sing at every single meeting. The SAI Chorale (which is quite lovely, in case you guys have never heard it) is our trademark song. It is sung at every single SAI meeting, function, etc etc. Plus at other get-togethers we sing from the Songs of SAI book. I know at naitonal Convention, whenever they were setting up for something, we'd use the extra time to sing! And, trust me, there is NOTHING more beautiful than almost 1000 SAIs all singing together!
And our Sinfonians here sing all the time. I just love the Serenade to a Girl song! Sooo cute!
