I loved it, went right out and bought it. Its a funny, odd movie... not meant to be accurate. It is better in my eyes than Fraternity/Sorority Life where it is inaccurate but people take it as accurate (I doubt anyone takes Pumpkin as accurate)

I'm watching the movie right now. I think it's awful. The acting is bad, the scropt is bad. It's just bad. I expect a little more from Christina Ricci and I wonder what she was thinking when she made this movie.

I thought it was brilliant.

It's sad how few people understand and appreciate independent film.

My not liking this movie has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for independent film. I rather enjoy independent film and find it a nice change from the formulaic drivel that Hollywood spits out.
I understood the stroy. It was just poorly made.

But did you understand that it was meant to be a Satire? Its not meant to be taken literally on any level. Due to it being a satire its also isn't supposed to be a detailed real life description. I think if you don't read it on the other levels and only take face value it will come off as not nearly as good!! But opinions are just that...opinions

If you can't tell it's a satire, it's probably not a very good satire.

"Network" is an example of good satire.

Aren't satires supposed to be funny? Yeah, I got the fact that it was a satire. That doesn't make it a GOOD satire.

I wasn't trying to be rude, its just I have had friends watch and think it was meant to be taken at face value and even when I look at it from that perspective its dumb. I mean going off a cliff blowing up your car and then being completely unburned and able to blame your girlfriend? Exactly. However as much as some people want to say its completely stereotyped, I don't think from watching the sorority girls on campus its as far off as some have said. I found it funny....

I get the movie. I just thought it was a poorly done movie. And that's my opinion.

I saw a little bit of the movie and it freaked me out. I guess I would have see it in its entirity to judge it a little better.

FYI- her sorority house is the ADPi house at USC. Across the street, the tri Kappas or whoever they were, that's the AXO house.

There is a Tri-Kappa fraternity at Dartmouth. It predates the Ku Klux Klan by at least 100 years...it may be the same for this sorority.

are fraternities and sororities allowed to have the same GLO name? i.e. KKK Is it only large GLOs that actually copyright their name that have the priviledge of not allowing others to use it? Just curious cuz people were saying there were both a sorority and a fraternity named KKK...

If it's a local, they often don't know there is another group named that. Remember a lot of these were founded before you could put a name into the internet and search for duplicates. I guess it all depends on whether you want to expand or not. I know there are like 4 different local sororities called Alpha Sigma that have nothing to do with each other.
