I'm sure that there have been worse ideas concerning the use of public tax dollars & education, but right now, I can't think of any. Separate but equal needs to stay strictly in the past!

I think it's an easy way to run away from one's problems. Like someone else on here said, are they going to start opening schools for ugly kids, nerdy kids, fat kids, etc. so they don't have to deal with the cruelty of some kids? Besides, what if I wanted to open up a school for straight kids? People would be up in arms about it. I think it's a double standard. If they get to do it, then what's stopping any other group from opening their own school? Fair is fair.

As for me, I think its a bad idea. I agree with whats been said above. Schools need to teach tolerance. Theres no tolerance to learn if the kids are not there. The world doesnt offer gay employeers....
