Hey! Easy there Rocket! Not all Falcons are bad!! Sorry to hear you might not be headed to BG, Sarah. Maybe going local for a year might allow you to save up and go to BG next year. The BG Greek system definitely does not exclude upperclassmen during recruitment. Good luck...

Sorry sometimes I just can't help myself. Guess thats what happens when you've been a part of UT as long as I have. My dads been taking me to their games since he became a professor there in Spring of 1983.
P.S. BGKdLady love your girls here! The panhel president is a KD and she's been awesome.

Sarah:
have you tried SallieMae.com? I go to a private U with BIG costs, I too also get over half of my costs covered by scholarship etc. but I still have to borrow. my parents have terrible credit so I can't have a co-signer I went to that website and applied for a signature student loan and got roughly 10,000 (please let us not talk about my debt, I am pretending it is not there until I graduate from law school) and I just got approved for another 9300 today for this school year. This is all without a co-signer, these loans are made for everyday people and have very high approval ratings. also, if you come from a low enough income bracket you can apply for a pell grant. You've probably already done this, but I would talk to your school's fin aid office about suggestions and programs. I went through this exact same thing last year and thought that I would have to transfer. I hope that whatever you choice you make, things go well for you and know that we're all rooting for you. pm me if you have any other questions, I've done this money thing ALOT so I know my stuff pretty well.
Much love,
Ashley

I think the cap on guaranteed student loans is around $45,000. It took me well over 13 years to even get close to maxing out. So I doubt that is the case for you. So you should be eligible. Now I understand if you don't want to go there, the debt is a killer. But it is there if you need it.
I plan to be a student forever to avoid paying back my loans.

I do already have loans as part of my fin aid package, as well as pell grants. Also, a BG university grant. It's just that leftover part that I can't come up with.
Rocket, I'm now going to go to BG's other rival, haha, Kent State. I'm going to the Stark regional campus for a year or two to get all my core classes, then I'll be up at the main campus.
Wee. I get to be a GOLDEN FLASH.
Honestly, what kind of mascot is that?!

I thought I was going to have to transfer a couple years ago, too, but luckily I didn't have to. However, I can sympathize with you, because I know how it feels. I hope everything works out for you!
