Iron Chef USA

Hey guys...

The Iron Chef American thing ran on USA network last year (possibly as long as 2 years ago, I forget). Food Network is showing it now, but only 2 or 3 episodes were ever created, so these are all repeats.

I totally thought that this was a new thing, I didn't see it on USA last year. Thank God there are only 2 or 3 episodes!

I'm really jealous that DW Alpha Gam got to eat at Morimotos!

I love Iron Chef (the original). Can't stand Iron Chef USA.

Some friends of mine introduced me to Iron Chef a couple of years ago. The theme ingredient was a specific type of lobster. On the panel there is always at least one ditzy starlet... One of the announcers brought a lobster to her and asked what she thought of it.

Starlet: Ohhh, it's soooo big!
Announcer: It's not as big as the one the Iron Chef has.
Starlet: Ohhhhhh!

I will always remember that line...

Iron Chef USA is on the food network right now

The only time I saw Iron Chef USA (due to the lack of cable service in my humble abode) was when they aired it on one of the primetime channels. The challenger actually made this sorbet out of Dungeness crab. o_O To this day I can never figure out how in the world William Shatner got to be the MC. Weird.
