....when you sit reading boards like this and almost all of these statements are you or have happened to you.

Not to be too serious... but... when you are out in the "real" world and something happens that reminds you of the true meaning of AGD.

When you meet a woman and think "I bet she is an Alpha Gam" even though she has never said anything about sorority, or college, and so you bring her around to that subject and sure enough- "Yup I was an AGD at XYZ" pops out of her mouth and you get to be proud, because you recognized that to begin with!!

Yes ladies, being an AGD you can just sense it sometimes!

Oh- and when you constantly correct when people call certain shades of colors "yellow" and you let them know, that "no, it looks more buff to me"
Of course don't ALL yellows look buff to us?

* When someone tells you what college s/he went to and you not only know if there's an Alpha Gam chapter there, but you also know the chapter's Greek letters and if it is active or inactive.

* When you see the Royal Albert Old English Roses china pattern and think AGD (http://www.tableware.uk.com/pattern)

* When you see a quilt block called 1904 Star and just know you have to use it.

When you get a wedding invitation from one of your sisters and you immediately start trying to figure out which AGD song you're going to sing to her at the reception!

You have an urge to purchase a light yellow VW bug because you know your license plate frame would look great on it. And it has a vase for you red & buff roses.

... When you move to a new town and join a playgroup of 8 moms and the 3 moms you think are the most fun( also cutest with the best personalities) are Alpha Gams from 3 different states!

When you go home to your parents house and your mom puts pillowcases on your bed with red and buff roses on it and you run out of your room and nearly knock her over giving her a hug to thank her for them (and she never once realized they were red and buff).

When you find something with squirrels on it and will spend your last penny to make sure you get it so it goes to "a good AGD home"

When you go to a natural history museum and you get totally excited when you get to the squirrel display. (though sad cuz their dead

)

Re..did you know they were AGDs before you started the play group?

No... I had just moved to a new state with my husband's new job. My baby was 11 months old, and I didn't know a soul. I was placed in this group randomly-through my church. I found out that one mom was a Gamma Tau and the other was from a chapter in Mo. The last was from Gamma Nu at UT.

eep. i hope my chapter sisters don't think that. As much as I love them, many are tone deaf.

The Beatle thing is hysterical.

I was doing my makeup for work and my fav colors for summer are golds. I used this red called hot paprika then my green clinique eyeliner. Afterwards I realied "OMG I did my eyes in AGD colors!"

Supposedly we havent been able to since the early '90's.
