incident that I was involved in at Chick Fil A. I had to have the assistant manager and the manager involved all because this young girl screwed up my order and tried to overcharge me. If she had spoken English we would not have had a problem. I do feel if you are going to come to this country to live you should learn our language...
well technically...the United States does not have an official language, although the main language is english. In another fifty years thought, it'll probably be spanish.

In Miami,...

I think there is A LOT of tension. Cases like the Elian Gonzalez situation and the government constantly turning back Hatians but giving Cubans a helping hand have really upset the Afam community down here. My aunt says they (specifically Cubans) act like they came over here on a first class plane instead of a boat. They seem content with holding on to their traditions (good thing) but unwilling to learn English (after 30 years here you should be able to say something). I'll end this because I think that a lot of hispanics are discriminatively treated better than Afams who have lived here (miami) for years. Beside Caucasians, they are the main Bush supporting group over hear and the 2000 Presidential election...but that's another issue...

I have to agree with MsFoxyLoxy77 ... here in Fla. the race relations here are a bit tense. I know several Latinos who consider themselves in a higher class that blacks although we are all struggling together. It is actually very sad that we can not work together.
