It's Nice
Yes...the book is nice. However, you cannot 'totally' rely on it to verify creditials. I know I relied on it 'heavily' last time....if someone said that they were a Soror, I went to the book!
It's also very confusing....if a Soror goes 'inactive'.....but still turns in her information, they list that person under the last chapter they were affiliated with. I looked for some of my line sisters who I know are inactive, but were previously with a chapter. They weren't listed in the biographical section (some of them) and they weren't listed under our initiating chapter; however, they were listed under their last affiliating chapter.
As far as the deceased Sorors go....Were they active? That may be the reason they are still listed. Corporate does not know if a Soror is deceased unless someone notifies them of this.
What's quite baffling is the fact that my information was correct last time -- initiating chapter. However, this time...it's incorrect!

I have receieved mine. My information was correct, but my mother's information was messed up and she is highly upset.
The same company is also doing my alma mater's directory. Do they have a monopoly or something going on?

I recieved mine about 2 weeks ago. I was shocked to find out this one girl, who says she crossed at FAMU, was not listed in the directory!
HMMMM!

Well, since there are mistakes in the book, I wouldn't be out there trying to find her and ask her "wassup". The book POSSIBLY could have made a mistake. All you have to do is ask for her FIRST financial card (to verify chapter) if you really do NOT believe her.

I have to agree. Slow your roll before you "question" anyone. My info is correct all throughout the book....except I'm not listed under my initiating chapter.

I THINK you are listed under your initiating chapter only if there wasn't any record of your CURRENT information. I think those are sorors who have not been active in ANY form since initiation. I know my distant cousin is not listed under our initiating chapter. I don't think she has been active since she left college. However, once I meet her, maybe things will be different.

It is SO much fun to play with. I've been messing with it for about an hour now! LOL!
Interesting enough, I met another Soror Tara Williams, from Louisiana this past April at Regionals.

I BET it's probably the same soror. The soror I'm speaking of IS from Louisiana, but she lives in Dallas and is a teacher.
I saw her at RC for the first time in over 10 years.
