And another thing, your s/n is offensive. Innocence22? Surely if you were applying for membership in DST, you know the significance of 22 to my beloved sorors. Yet you would get on a messageboard full of Delta's and have 22 at the end of your name. You'll probably say it's your age or something but I don't care. It's the respect(or lack thereof) and balls you show to have that name on a Delta message board. And if you are coming clean with this thread, the first part of your name needs to be changed as well.

Now with saying all that I want to let you know that it takes a big person to admit they are wrong. If you are sincere, then you really need to sit down and figure out WHY you want to go greek.

I think the answer is very clear with this one sentence:

I can't believe I just read what I read....Innocence22, you're a hot mess. Some things just need to be kept to yourself. You sound very bitter, not apologetic. You're still mad because you weren't accepted into the sorority of your first choice (AKA), then gonna try to slip into mine?? I'm so glad the sorors saw you for what you are...unworthy to wear my letters or those of AKA.

Yeah, lying about being abused is SOOO WRONG for sooo many reasons. There are women in this world who are running and fighting for their lives b/c of abuse. What if someone else comes on one of the message boards saying she was abused - how are the moderators and other posters supposed to take her story? People like you are the reason why women are afraid to talk about this subject matter. You are making things bad for those who really experienced this mess. I can't speak for any of the sororities b/c I don't hold membership in any of them, but please take their advice.

First and foremost, look to God and within to find the truth about yourself. You need to be able to look at the real you in the mirror every morning and every night.

I am detecting a sense of YFSUFE vibe because of Innocence's confession.

From my observations over the past 3 years, the SFs who are in it (pursuit of their Greek org of choice) for the right reasons and for the long haul are going about it the right way. Some of you all have made a few cyber boo boos, but you have learned from the ones you have made and the ones fellow SFs have made.

It probably is a lie, too. Why the sudden hit of conscience when she (could even be a male trying to be funny) is basically annonymous on here anyway. He or she could have just stopped posting or re-registered under a different name. Funny that he or she went back on May 30 and 31 and edited many of her or his posts from last year.

GIRRRRRL, you KNOW the future lawyer-digging-for-evidence side of me came out and I traced her posts. On 5-31-03, she went in and edited or tried to delete all of her posts.

Last year this time she was a recent high school graduate from the Bronx. She was headed to NC A&T in Greensboro. She arrived a virgin, gave it away, got abused, et al. I remember telling her she would not need a car on campus and even offered to take her grocery shopping once a month -- WTF was I thinking?

Ohh! That's why the name Innocence22 sounded familiar! I remember sending her a PM or something with my information in case she needed a ride somewhere or wanted to hang out since we are in the same city. When I first read this thread, I was like Inno-who??

Daaag. Oh well. Innocence if you are reading this, I hope you learned your lesson. It's easy to get caught up and go about things the wrong way as a naive freshman in a black college... but if you are sincere in your endeavors, take some time out to chill. Quit lying. Learn the difference between friends and associates. Declare a major. Try to earn a 4.0. Find a hobby. Go mentor some disadvantaged children. Get to know yourself and what you really want so you don't end up looking like an a$$.......again.

I agree with what you wrote Hopeful. She DOES make other prospective SFs look bad. However, I disagree that her being 22 makes her act this way (if I read what your wrote correctly). I am 21 and I would NEVER, EVER disrespect DST intentionally in anyway. Innocence seems to be a person who just needs to find out her TRUE self, as many have stated before. She is a GROWN ASS woman. She knew what she was doing: lying, transferring, the whole nine.

People like her are the reason why members of any sorority (NPHC, NPC, etc.) don't want to help people, and now I understand why. This entire situation has just pissed me off to NO end.
