Heres another question. I've been looking at costs to get a party van/limo and didnt realize how much that would run. I'm trying to keep this as cheap as possible so it seems my best bet is getting a hotel room for a night so that way no one has to worry about being DD back to my place.

Any thoughts on what would be a good area of Boston to look at hotels so that we could walk to a bunch of different places??
As far as walking to a bunch of places, the best area would be in Copley - now, the prices will be expensive, but that's where most of everything is. The Colonnade isn't too expensive, and it's really nice.

There's a Courtyard by Marriot and Holiday Inn on Beacon Street in Brookline - those are kind of close to things, and may not have more rooms open.

The fact is that you can take the T wherever you're going - coming from the bars late, you'll have to cab it, but you can take the T to where you're going and get basically anywhere in the city. You might need a tutorial on which lines to get on, but it's easy to get the hang of.

But, 4th of July weekend is HUGE in Boston (you really don't understand unless you've seen it), and hotels fill up really fast. I'd call ASAP, but you'll still have trouble getting a room at this point.

Collin

Tonic is ok, I'm a fan of Our House - but that goes back to the fact that they let me in when I was under 21.

You should try The Avenue too - it's right down your ways, and it's a hell of a good bar. It has a really good beer selection, but also a full liquor bar. Fun atmosphere and good drink prices make it even better.

Munchkin 03 - Daisy's is a good bar, if you hit it on the right nights it's fun as all hell. I haven't been there in about a year, but it's one of the better places around, that's for sure.

Haha, no not anymore - I don't go down that way all that often anymore, very rarely. If I'm going to a bar, it's usually more towards Brighton Ave. area or downtown - once in a while I make it out to the Avenue, but that's really about it.

A couple of years ago...yeah, you probably would have heard my drunken voice early in the morning. Not anymore though.

Now I get woken up by the people who are heading to O'Brien's (an Irish bar on Beacon St.) for last call.
