If you want good techno to work out to, try BT. Any of his stuff is great, I even turned my Dad onto him.

Good rock music to work out to is AC/DC.

As far as hip hop goes, definitely go for Beastie Boys.

Ok guys, i made my first trip to a gay bar not so long ago, and once i was able to be cool with the guys making out on the dance floor, i realized how good the music there would be to work out to.

So, in that vein, i heisitate to call it "gay bar music" but do any of y'all have suggestions of good club/dance/house/techo/whatever the hell the proper nomenclature is for it, songs to burn on a workout CD?

If you're looking for anything upbeat, go on kazaa and do a search for DJ Irene (AWESOME electronica 'gay bar" if you will), To Kool Chris (really cheesy, a shitty person, but good workout music), Paul Johnson, or Dj Bam Bam. John Digweed is also a good choice. Essentially, you're looking for either "euro" "house" or electronica- not trance.

** Note- in this case I'm condoning Kazaa b/c these would all be tracks purposely loaded onto the internet by these djs- you're not stealing from anyone. **

If i am doing cardio I need music with a good beat like dance or techno. My favorite CD to run to is MTV Spring Break with DJ Scribble. I think it is from like 2001.

I've got a song that should be on all the guy's workout CD's. I find it helps to motivate me by reminding me of the carrot i'm workin for
