It's just a hunch, I really have no allegience in the series.

(Sorry to all you Spurs fans out there)
You know, i'm not trying to start a fight, but i fail to see the logic on how the Spurs can beat 2 of the most talented teams in the NBA, the fakers and the Mavs, but the Nets will suddenly give them trouble.

K-Mart played well last night, and would have been more effective if not for the foul trouble. Parker held his own against kidd, which is all the Spurs need. It's been said that Kidd has no shot, which honestly to me, puts him as less of a threat than Steve Nash. Nash may not be the passer that Kidd is, but he's a helluva better shooter. But that's 2 players. If you focus on Duncan and Parker, you're gonna get beat by Manu, SJax, DRob, or hell, even Steve Kerr. I think the Spurs are just too deep for the Nets to keep up with them over a course of 7 games. After K-Mart, Kidd and Jefferson, where is the Nets threat going to come from? The Nets may have won the east, and won 10 in a row, but that's the EAST my friends. The studs are in the West.

Kobe Bryant is probably the most athletic player in the NBA and ALSO plays with Shaq and the SPURS took care of them as well.

Everyone is jumping on this Nets bandwagon, and i have to believe it's because everyone likes to root for the underdog. I'm not saying its' going to be a sweep by the Spurs, i'm just saying that they will win 4 games before the Nets do. Did you see the Nets on the bench last night, specifically mutumbo? they looked demoralized. The Spurs didn't even play their best basketball and still won by 10.

sigtau, i agree. DRob needs to be memorialized in some fashion at SBC. I haven't made it down there yet, so i don't know if they have yet or not. However the Spurs choose to memorialize DRob, i also want to see reference to his outstanding prescene OFF the court as well. David is the kind of superstar that the public whines that we need more of, but don't pay the due respect to.

KS 361 times this series will be over on the night of the 15th, with Duncan winning ring #2 in the SBC center

Good points - my reasoning for picking the Nets wasn't because they are underdogs though - hell, I'm a Yankees fan, so I hate the underdog.

I was just doing it based on a hunch - I'd love to see Duncan win a second title and have David go out with one more...so honestly part of me would rather see the Spurs win. I was just going on my hunch though.

You're right about Robinson - he was that rare kind of superstar who just kinda went about and did his business, completely professional. He never got the respect he deserved for playing as well as he did - I still remember seeing the game where he dropped over 70 (71 I believe?), and it was his type of game: you never really knew how much he was scoring until the game was up.

A hell of a pro, and it'd be cool to see him go out on top, so no disrespect meant for all you Spurs fans with my pick.

Phish is going to perform the first 45 minutes national anthem in NBA final history.

Back to Basketball, as a long time NY Knicks fan, I hope the Nets loose. This series is going to be a good one, I do however see the Nets winning it in game 7. Don't ask how, I just got this vibe.

Last night Jason Kidd was being interviewed at midnight with his child on his lap. The reporter asked if the child has a bedtime.

I still want the Nets to win.

Daaaamn, what's with all the Spurs fans here? I'm cheering for the Nets. I can't say I care a whole heck of a lot for either team, but I find myself thinking that they're the lesser of two evils.

I'm pretty much the same way, but since my favorite team (the KINGS!!!) are in the western conference and the Spurs didn't beat them in the playoffs, I don't have any problem cheering for them to win it all

I can't see how you think Kenyon Martin and Jason Kidd are the "lesser" of the 2 evils between the Nets and Tim Duncan, David Robinson and the rest of the SPURS, but, to each his own i guess.

BTW, my FAVORITE shot from game 3,

6'7" Malik Rose OVER 7'2" Dikembe Mutombo

Game 4 tonight,
GO SPURS GO!!!!!

Kitso
KS 361 times i'd rather the SPURS keep TP than get _ason Kidd
