GURRRRRRRRRRRL! You know my momma was calling me with the info just as fast as she was on line about Brister!
As for Voletta, I give her props WITHOUT SUPPORTING the "blow her brains" comment. I am tired of Kim ranting and raving about Biggie. LET IT GO!! HE WAS NOT YOUR MAN!! Notice Faith is keeping a tight lip because even though he may have been f***ing Kim and Charli Baltimore , Faith was his WIFE!! She had the papers on him and after he died SHE got it ALL! So while Kim is throwing up props and wishing that she would have had the baby, Faith has the baby and is getting paid every time you hear a Biggie song, sample, snippet, video, etc.

I remember reading in Ebony about a year and a half ago about Brian McKnight and the problems he was having in his marriage. At that time, they were giving it another try. It looked like they were doomed a while ago.
You know Nokio, from Dru Hill, and Angie Martinez are having a baby? She is pregnant now.
Somebody fill me in more on the Lauren Hill drama...Where'd all these kids come from? The cousin and her shared men? Please fill me in...

It was in the last issue of Radio Today, a magazine for the industry about Nokio and Angie Martinez. It showed a pic of them together too. That doesn't mean that he's not bi...maybe she just didn't care or didn't know. Anyhow, it's too late for questions now. The baby's almost here...

From NY Post's Page 6
Short range
INTENSE negotiations between Shaquille O'Neal and Mercedes Benz broke down, and the 7-foot star of the L.A. Lakers never got a test-drive in the new $350,000 Maybach. Mercedes marketing execs had two of the cars available Oscar week. Shaq, eager to please his wife, had tried to get a chauffeur-driven Maybach to take her and her girlfriends around on Oscar Eve. But when it was learned the odyssey would range as far as Pasadena, a shortage of wheels developed. In fact, only 500 Maybachs will be distributed this year in the U.S. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had one for Oscar night.
Unforgiven
BERNIE Mac may have a hit with his Fox show, but the guy knows how to hold a grudge. Interviewed by GQ, Mac went off on his old mentor Steve Harvey, who got him involved with "The Kings of Comedy." The mag noted several years ago that someone representing Steve Harvey called ["Ocean's Eleven" director] Steven Soderbergh's office and asked him to reconsider the casting of Bernie Mac. The caller argued that Steve Harvey was more popular. "Man," Bernie says, "I heard about that. I was told about it. You know these people. Are you surprised? It's always about him."

Ralph Sampson doesn't pay
Former hoops star Ralph Sampson charged with failing to pay child support
By BILL RANKIN
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Former basketball star Ralph Sampson appeared in federal court in Atlanta today on charges he failed to pay more than $51,000 in child support for two children.
Sampson, 42, was indicted last week in Richmond for failing to pay $21,628 in child support for a daughter who lives in Fairmouth, Va., according to court documents unsealed today. He also is charged separately for failing to pay $29,542 in child support for another daughter who lives in Charlottesville, Va.
The former NBA center now lives in Sandy Springs. Wearing a gray suit and white button-down shirt, the slender 7-foot-4 Sampson towered above his lawyer and other court officials during a brief hearing.
Sampson once starred for the University of Virginia and was the first pick of the 1983 draft by the Houston Rockets.
He turned himself in to federal authorities this morning and was held in custody until this afternoon's court hearing. He was released on $40,000 bond, to be secured by his parents' home in Harrisburg, Va.
During the hearing, Sampson was represented by a federal defender who said Sampson a few days ago paid all the child support he owes with a wire transfer.
"He's made full payment," federal defender Jake Waldrop said. "The money's there to be dispersed. He wants to put this behind him."
Assistant U.S. Attorney Candace Howard said she was unsettled upon learning that Sampson has had no fixed address over the past year. "That concerns me," she told U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman during a bond hearing.
But Waldrop said Sampson has never made any attempt to conceal his residential address from anyone. The lawyer said Sampson will appear in court to answer the charges in Richmond on April 7 and in Charlottesville on April 9.
"Mr. Sampson is going to show up and be a man of his word," Waldrop told the judge. "His whole focus and purpose by turning himself in this morning is to put this behind him."
According to court documents, Sampson was paid $539,060 in 1999 and $134,765 in 2000 by the Sacramento Kings. In 2001, he earned $11,207 while employed by a number of organizations, including NBA Entertainment, records show.

March 27, 2003 -- The 11-year-old son of rap impresario Damon Dash was busted after bringing what he said was his father's pot to school and showing it to his teacher, his mom told The Post yesterday.
"He told on his father. He didn't like what was happening," said Linda Williams. "I know he shouldn't have brought the pot to school."
Dash and Williams are embroiled in a bitter custody battle over the youngster.
The boy now lives with his father, who has a home in Manhattan and previously lived in Alpine, N.J.
His mom, who lives in Freeport, L.I., is seeking custody.
The bizarre show-and-tell took place on March 10, Williams said, when the sixth-grader told his teacher at an Alpine school he was unhappy his father was smoking pot - then displayed it.
On March 14, four days after the teacher turned him in, Dash removed his son from the school.
The boy, whose name is being withheld, is facing a drug-possession charge after the teacher called cops. He is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court in Hackensack, according to his mother.
Dash was arrested yesterday on a warrant for "absconding with a subject child" after Williams claimed he had told her he was taking the boy to live in California. He was freed after appearing in Manhattan Family Court. A trial date was set for April 3.
Dash, whose Roc-A-Fella empire is worth $300 million, could not be reached for comment

'Fresh Prince's' Tatyana Ali
Fresh princess

Tatyana Ali says a recent reunion with her former castmates at the wedding of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star Karyn Parsons "was like time had just not passed at all"; (inset) Ali in 1990.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(PEOPLE) -- Taking an extended hiatus from the entertainment business isn't usually a career-enhancing move. But for Tatyana Ali, who grew up before America's eyes as Ashley Banks on the hit sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," the decision to focus on college has gotten her some extra attention.
"I was away for so long and not in any of the casting rooms that when I go in there, they're like, 'Oh my God -- you're an adult!' " she explains.
Ali, now 24, wasn't sure whether she wanted to return to acting full time when she entered Harvard University in the fall of 1998, just two years after "Fresh Prince" ended its six-year run. But in her junior year, while producing a fashion show with some classmates, she had an epiphany.
"I realized that I knew so much about putting on shows, and I was like, You know what? It'd be stupid not to continue on the path that I'm going for. Why be scared? I can do this. I can be an entertainer and have skills behind the scenes too."
After graduating from Harvard in June with a degree in government, Ali began pursuing acting with renewed vigor. She has two upcoming films: the slapstick "College Sex Comedy" and the independent "dramedy" "Nora's Hair Salon," in which she costars with Bobby Brown. Of the latter film, Ali says, "It's the biggest part I've ever played in a movie. I have a lot more responsibility than I've ever had before."
But she feels prepared for the challenge. As a child, "I was a ham," the native of North Bellmore, New York, says with a laugh. "I always wanted to entertain people and sing and dance." At age 5 she auditioned for and signed on with manager Aggie Gold, who soon booked the young actress in commercials for products such as Children's Tylenol. Ali then made regular appearances on PBS's "Sesame Street."

THE KEYBOARDIST
By RUSSELL SCOTT SMITH

Adrien "A. Ranger" Brody lays down tracks in the studio with P. Diddy.
- Elizabeth Lippman/Splash
March 27, 2003 -- JUST call him A. Ranger.
Adrien Brody's surprise Oscar triumph Sunday night will certainly transform his acting career, but the 29-year-old Queens native - who's long been moonlighting as a hip-hop producer under the name A. Ranger - has equally high hopes for his music.
"Adrien is a fanatic," deejay Stretch Armstrong, one of Brody's musician friends, told The Post. "Music is just as important to him as acting."
Word on the street is he's pretty good, too.
Brody has played some demo tracks - which often marry heavy urban beats to Japanese or Middle Eastern music - for his pals P. Diddy and Jay-Z, and the rap world high rollers expressed interest in sampling them for their own songs.
Such an endorsement would be the equivalent of that gold statuette for Brody the mix master.
"He'd love to use his new power to work on the music for his movies," says Sky Nellor, another Manhattan deejay, who dated Brody for a few years and remains a close friend.
Brody certainly isn't the first movie star to want to make music - other actor-musicians include Keanu Reeves, Dennis Quaid and Brody's fellow Oscar-winner Russell Crowe - but unlike those guitar-slingers, Brody's axe of choice is a Korg Triton sampling keyboard.
Friends say Brody can recite entire raps by some of his favorite emcees, such as 50 Cent, Nas or Biggie Smalls.
And whenever he gets the chance, Brody loves to go clubbing.
"We go out downtown, anyplace there's a good deejay and attractive girls," says Armstrong. Some favorites include Tribeca Grand Hotel and Spa.
"You wouldn't recognize him in a club. He's completely on the low. Bobbing with his head to the music, probably with a hoodie on."
"Adrien is a really good dancer," says a New York scenester who dated Brody briefly last year.
"He's an attractive guy, you know. And he dances totally chill. He looks cool."
He's even taken his own turn on the decks - on Valentine's Day last year, Brody deejayed with Armstrong and soul singer Joi at Joe's Pub on Lafayette Street.
Just don't expect him to do it again any time soon.
"Deejaying live isn't really Adrien's thing," says his lawyer, Michael Guido, who's introduced him to hip-hop bigs like Roc-A-Fella's Damon Dash and Def Jam's Lyor Cohen.
"He wants to be in the studio, producing tracks and working with rappers."
Brody already has one cut out there - "This Ain't a Movie," on the soundtrack to his 1998 indie flick "Restaurant." Brody recorded it as A. Ranger and got the Rawcotiks to rap over it.
Though it sounds a little like Eminem, Marshall Mathers probably doesn't have to worry about the competition - Brody hasn't put out another song since.
Still, "Adrien was crazy excited about it," Nellor says. "That was his first taste of recording, and he wants more."
Brody is so devoted to his music, he even worked on it during the grueling six-month European shoot for "The Pianist."
As he was preparing to play a Holocaust victim, director Roman Polanski wanted Brody to feel what it's like to lose everything.
So he sold his car, got rid of his Manhattan apartment, broke up with Nellor and went on a crash diet to lose 30 pounds from his 160-pound frame.
"That Korg Triton was the one thing he kept," Nellor recalls. "He carted it from Paris to Berlin to Warsaw."
Brody used the keyboard to study the Chopin pieces he mimed in the film - and to compose a lot of his own music.
"Adrien was really affected by the movie, so [the music he made is] interesting, dark, gloomy stuff," says Armstrong, who compares Brody's "Pianist"-era tracks to the rich, syrupy trip-hop of Britain's Portishead and Tricky.
Now that Brody owns an Oscar, it might be hard for him to carve out time for his hobby.
"He definitely wants to devote more time to his musical side," Guido says. "But now every film director is going to be calling him. We'll see if he has the time."

I heard this story on the radio yesterday & at the end of the story, they added that Ralph is India. Arie's father ! I'd never heard this, so I called the station to make sure I'd heard it correctly. They confirmed it.
Is this old news?

I remember her on a radio station in NYC a few months ago stating that her father was a former NBA star. She made the statement b/c the subject of "throw-back jerseys" came up during the interview.

Actually, India.Arie's dad is Ralph Simpson, a guard in the 1960s and 70s who starred in the ABA. Ralph Simpson isn't to be confused w/Ralph Sampson.

Thanx Steeltrap! That makes more sense.
I was thinking Ralph (Sampson) sure was a busy boy back in the day.

Ralph Sampson, however, doesn't hold a candle to Shawn Kemp when it comes to offspring.

When I was just a little girl,my momma said to me... (uh-oh wrong thought, wrong topic...just plain ol wrong.)
When I was a little girl, I loveded me some Ralph Sampson, not India's father, but the younger one. I had heard her father was a b-ball player, named RS, but the math didn't add up. I guess I see why.
